For a while I had a hand-me-down laptop from my older brother, but I never really used it, so I sold it on eBay. At the end of last year, he came into my room one day with a mid 2015 Retina-model MacBook Pro, and just gave it to me saying I could have it. He works at a very large Fortune 500 tech company, and when they buy new tech, they throw out their old stuff and he salvages it sometimes, giving me some of what he brings with him. It's a great little device, and though the battery cycle count is at around ~700, I'm surprised by how well-performing it is. I upgraded the internal storage to a 500 GB NVMe SSD, with macOS Catalina, and it's incredible now.

I'll just have to replace the battery eventually, and not only does the replacement take a long time to do, but a high-quality replacement battery for this laptop will cost you around $100 USD as well... but I'll suck it up and buy one when I finally think it's time to do the replacement.

Quite a lot to name. The Romancing SaGa games come to mind, even though the series it fairly obscure, its music is amazing. I think I have VIP 4 to thank for that. Same goes for a few Sonic songs as well. It's honestly weird how much music I've been introduced to through custom music in hacks.

Back as a kid I used to actually draw out my levels on paper and then re-create them as best as I could in LM. Nowadays, though, I don't really have a methodical process for it. I think of a gimmick I want to base the level around - maybe it's an environmental hazard, a specific enemy, a time limit, a race, who knows what. Then I just place down flat ground and slopes in a shape I think fits the gimmick. I play through each slight revision and see if I consider it fun. I suppose if I've learned anything in over a decade of using LM, it's that if you can just run to the right and occasionally jump through every level in your game, with almost no effort and nothing actually challenging you and making you do something else, it's not a very good game.

The only gacha game I've ever kept up with, and still am, is Kingdom Hearts Union χ. And that's only because the game is canon to the overall Kingdom Hearts story, and will be extremely important in the coming future of the series, story-wise, especially with the story updates of the past few months, which paint some elements of past games in an entirely new light.

The gameplay, though, is definitely not my cup of tea. It's quite in depth and even I wouldn't be able to explain it. I have made it through the game so far without ever paying a single real-world penny, which hopefully means something... you attack the Heartless and other enemies using Medals, and depending on the equipped Keyblade you have, you can have up to 7 Medals to attack with. There are different elemental Medals, with special attacks, different attributes, and enemies weak to certain types of medals, and.... honestly, it's quite a headache. It doesn't help that the game's story is confirmed to be beginning its ending phase, which means that the story missions are officially in the endgame now. As of now there's over 950 story missions, and god, these endgame missions are fucking insane and it will only get worse. I don't even want to THINK about how much HP the final boss will have, whoever it will be. Enemies can have MILLIONS of bars of HP, it's fucking terrifying.

At this point I just want the story to wrap up so I won't have to deal with anymore enemies that have 10 million+ HP bars, like god damn.
My favorite SMW custom music is still the original soundtrack that FPI composed for The Second Reality Project Reloaded. SMW soundfont music or not, there's some bops in there.
I work that night, oops. Not that I would have had anything planned otherwise.... any plans would have been ruined because of the you-know-what.
Wow, you're back with a sequel to Toad's World... I never thought I'd see the day! Toad's World was one of the hacks besides TSRPR and Brutal Mario that I played a looot when I was a kid and I also enjoyed playing it again when you re-released a better version in 2014! I'm definitely keeping an eye on this now - really excited to see what you decide to do with the SMW hacking advancements made since 2014!

A few suggestions I have were already mentioned! This Hack Needs A Name, and Eevee's Sicari games. But my top recommendation will always be The Second Reality Project Reloaded. It's my favorite SMW hack by far, with the most solid, superb level design, great choices of custom graphics, and a completely original soundtrack composed by the creator.

A few honorable mentions for me would be A Super Mario Thing (more for the quirkiness and jokes, as the game itself eventually starts to border on kaizo), Mario's Journey Through Time and Space (standard adventure with consistent, fun levels), and Same Sprites Different Levels (vanilla SMW except also not really, and with a great twist).
