Hack completed! I seriously jawdropped at the whole secret world thing (OW event, submap and levels), that was amazingly done.

I had a great time playing this hack - sure, there were some bad/frustrating levels, but the good ones definitely made up for it.

I hear inspiration from "Lofty Mount Pajamaja" (M&L4) #tb{:j} This is beautiful, very atmospheric and mysterious - I especially love the harp+choir. I can definitely imagine it in a RPG; fantastic work again, Coolmario!
Congratulations Lui and Torchkas, definitely deserved it! That was really a fantastic last round.
I don't usually play kaizo hacks myself, but this one is very creative and actually fun! I'm really enjoying all the gimmicks, every level is unique so far. The graphics look very nice, too - I'm glad kaizo hacks are becoming nicer and nicer to look at. Great job!
I still can't believe this just happened - I'm truly shocked. He has been such a great inspiration to many of us: his playfulness, his devotion and his incredible talent will never be forgotten.

Thank you, Iwata-san! R.I.P.
Congratulations to the winners! Judging these entries was pretty difficult, because there were so many diverse entries and keeping balance between various factors (personal taste, technical/overall quality, catchiness, sampled vs. unsampled...) was quite a challenge.

I had to remove it. Believe it or not, that note was desynching the whole bassline for some weird reason. It didn't happen in the midi, and I checked the NSF only to find that the midi's bassline was indeed correct. I really don't know where that desynch was coming from as I also checked every note in my txt. *shrug*

Uh, that's pretty strange indeed. I've actually managed to fix the issue by adding a ^8 in every channel and delaying the pitch slides by 18 (an eighth note). Here's the txt+SPC (I commented the added notes, just CTRL+F "missing eighth").
Undertale spoilers are pretty much everywhere and it's quite easy getting spoiled while looking for other stuff (e.g.: searching for a music track on YouTube and accidentally seeing a thumbnail from a spoiler-y video). That's why I suggest you not to look even for small hints if you're going to play it.

Just finished it by the way
(true pacifist run)
. Few games have managed to play with my emotions so much before, yet Undertale does it in its own way #tb{:)} What an amazing experience.

I can't really pick a single track, but this is definitely one of my favourites too. Really sets the mood for that place.

(also, I got all three endings, and the fight with
Sans
was some of the most fun I've had against a boss in a long, long time.)

That boss battle is amazing. Definitely one of the most badass things (and characters) I've seen in a long while.

"what? you think i'm just gonna stand there and take it?"

If you did not felt any sort of guilt/sadness after
killing Toriel
in any way, (accidentally/on-purpose), you are heartless.

I accidentally did it when I first played the demo and I felt terrible #tb{XD} The worst thing was
Flowey discovering I re-loaded the save file just to spare her
. This game really does an incredible job at fourth wall breaking.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks for the votes!

What's the craic, everyone?

How can I remove the echo from custom music. The Melty Monster song has an echo that I would like to remove.

Cheers.

You can get rid of it by removing these three lines (the first two set up the echo, while the third one fades its volume):
Code
$EF $7F $00 $00
$F1 $04 $63 $01
$F2 $D8 $28 $28
Time for an update! Here's the intro level: Mario wakes up in a mysterious forest and starts exploring the area. The wind blows, leaves fall - it'd look like a desolate place, if it weren't for a sudden, familiar cry.

Ciao #tb{:)} mi dispiace che il thread sia inattivo - io ultimamente sto proprio postando poco in generale. Cercherò di rimediare in futuro, magari quando avrò nuovo materiale da mostrarvi.

Hello everyone, it's been a while #tb{:j} I've got something different to show this year: three new music albums which summarize my musical activity during 2015.

Unoriginals 2015 is a collection of remixes and rearrangements of videogame music. There are also a few SPC700 ports here and there;
Originals 2015
includes all the original compositions I wrote during last year;
Unreleased 2015 is a selection of original compositions I never released for one reason or another.

All albums are free/pay-what-you-want. Hope you enjoy, and happy C3!
I've always looked forward to this hack, I'm happy you managed to complete it! I'm in level 44 and I really like it so far - each stage is thoroughly developed with a clear image in mind, and it shows. Also that title screen looks gorgeous #tb{;)}
You really know how to bring SMW samples to the next level - I love how accurate Few Paths Forbidden and Biting Cold sound, despite being completely unsampled #tb{:j}

Great job with the sampled stuff as well. Reproducing all those volume/tempo changes in Song of Healing must've been pretty challenging, but the result is incredible!
I'm a big fan of 2D Zelda games and Link's Awakening in particular (still have to play the Oracles), so I'm always interested in games inspired by the series. Plus, I've always enjoyed your puzzle-focused approach to level design - I'm pretty curious to see what you'll come up with in this project. Definitely looking forward to the demo!
I'm honestly impressed by the level of customization of this hack, even the sound effects are made from scratch! I tried some of the levels and I've got some thoughts about it:

- I think the introduction is a bit too slow, especially for a platform game. This part lasts for about a minute, text scrolls very slowly and is unskippable. Maybe you could make it skippable, or at least speed it up a bit?
- the art style looks lovely (kinda reminds me of Kirby 3!)
- the sword power-up is pretty interesting, but I found it a bit clunky. The boy can't jump while attacking and freezes for a split second after a while. I think this could confuse the player while jumping a cliff or when there are many enemies on screen, especially considering the attack button is also used for running.
- some mechanics are explained after being shown. For instance, being used to Super Mario World mechanics, I wouldn't expect to die by walking through a narrow gap (it also happens if I jump by holding down, which doesn't kill Mario in SMW). This is only explained three screens further, so I couldn't possibly know before it.
- The boy starts one tile higher in Pipeline Parkway if the player enters the level while riding the orange animal.
- Little graphic glitch in Sector Shootoff
- It's possible to walk over the ceiling and falling inside the wall
- I liked the Undertale-styled boss! My only problem with it is that the heart is a bit cumbersome to control, it doesn't move as freely as it should (it sort of gets stuck). Also, it freezes for a while just before taking a hit, which makes everything a tad clunky.

I still have to play the world 2 levels, but I enjoyed it so far and I think it has a great potential. Keep up the good work!
Looks lovely, you really nailed the style! Can't wait to see it implemented with YI's tileset.
