I got the hang of everything in the overworld editor. The events, level placements, etc., except one thing. When in game you can easily skip the opened level and go to the closed one and play it. I set the paths, but how do I make it so it's mandatory to pass the preceeding stage in order to proceed?

Needed:

A level designer (one for objects, one for sprites).

Custom (or just in-game) music arranger.

Custom sprite/object designer.

Testers.

I will be the text designer.

We will share the ROM over with our email addresses.

That Overworld is bad. Cutoff land just about everywhere and boring straight paths. I'd suggest checking out an OW tutorial for how to do this stuff.

Never said it was perfect. But yeah, I could work on the Overworld.

But besides the cutoff, there's really nothing wrong.

The orginal World 1 Overworld wasn't anything special either.

I think the characters that scare me that most are Kirby characters.

I mean Zero in all of his forms are just nightmares. 02 though makes me **** my pants. What better game to prolly inact symbolism or religion-like creatures than harmless, cute little Kirby.


And in a certain aspect Kirby HIMSELF is a monster. Think about it. He once spent a game destroying most of Dream Land's population... just for cake. The fact that he basically steals his enemies' skin or traits in order to copy them makes me wonder...

As a team coordinator, expect to be the one who's doing most of the work, here. Right now, being a "text designer" is not doing most of the work. Also, before assembling a team, you have to show screenshots of the work you've done so far, so the people know what they're working with.

Also, if I like what I see with this hack, I'll beta test for you if that's fine.




Some of us will do more at once, though. Like I can help with the level design.

LazyShell is a complex editor, at least for me.

1. Around 10 levels. More if we have more people.

2. About 4 Grassland, a few Caves, couple of water levels, and the castle. Also worlds are land, mini islands, and dark world.

3. Crescent shaped. Levels first, THEN overworld.

4. There's actually barely any plot and as long as the level meets the condition, it could be anything.

5. Vanilla. Chocolate with moar people.

6. I do plan for levels, sublevels and music, though people with experience with Map16 and ExGFX are welcome.

7. Not that long. I say from screen 0 to 1A. Difficulty progresses.

I know those were questions I was suppose to answer alone but, what's done is done.


I also have 1 aboard and helping with the level designs and such.
