/\ I'm not fully understanding where you're coming from, but VHS tapes were around when I was a kid (since in my school years, DVDs didn't exist yet).
< has a program called VHS to DVD 5.0 Deluxe, which not only can convert the contents of VHS tapes to DVD, it has a feature where you can connect just about any video game console to it to play a video game on a computer screen instead of a TV, as long as you have an A/V cable for the console in question (it's required in order to connect the console to the Vidbox accessory included with the software, which then goes into a USB slot), and even record the gameplay on the actual console
\/ has recorded their gameplay on a video game console using the setup I mentioned above, or a similar one?

Perhaps those should have wings?

I am totally in agreement with imamelia here, IMO the flying rope mechanisms definitely should have wings on them, much like with the flying chainsaws (I simply find it weird that they don't have wings, but otherwise, they get my stamp of approval).

I'm not sure if I'm gonna use the Grinder sprite, though I have to admit it looks quite interesting.

As for the chasing Hammer Brother, wow, that one definitely looks more dangerous than the ones I remember from Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels; I'm especially surprised it can jump over walls in its way to reach Mario. Methinks I might use it in a level or two in the 8th world of my hack.
This is my last question, what do you think of Birdo?

Looking pretty good, thank you Major Flare! I might change up the path a little though, as I'm thinking of having two levels with multiple exits.

I like the design of the cacti here, though I have one question, it that part of a sunset I see in the top left corner? Those colors in the top left corner remind me a little of a real life sunset.

Again, nice job on this one. :)

'dons an Elvis disguise'

Thank you, thank you very much.

I'll gladly take that compliment...if my team manages to win that is (and if we do win, I'll give everyone on my team an Elvis disguise so that we can all embrace our inner Elvis).

I will have the lightning stop at solid blocks. Which blocks it can break (if any) can also be customized. The silius shooter fires custom sprites. I made this choice because it shoots 8 shots at once and there are exactly 8 extended sprite slots (since 2 are reserved for Mario fireballs). This made it so the salvo could very easily fail and that looked weird. It's much less likely that all sprite slots will be full, at least with SA-1.

That's good to hear. I should have no problem using this kind of Mecha Koopa in my hack, although there are some custom sprites that are using some of the extended sprite slots (I'm not talking about lx5's custom powerups despite the fact I'm using them in my hack), so I'm presuming that using the Silius Shooter would make it impossible to use other custom extended sprites besides the projectiles used by some of the custom powerups, am I right? If that's the case, I likely won't use the Silius Shooter.
/\ not off the top of my head, no.
< is wondering if GSN (Game Show Network) will have a new season of Master Minds this fall
\/ has heard of the above channel or watched any game shows on that channel?
/\ not to my knowledge, no.
< is not sure if I'd want to hike up a mountain, considering I have a fear of heights
\/ also has a fear of heights?
/\ yeah, I guess I'd call myself an experienced SMW hacker.
< is hoping to start building some levels once the SMB3 Goomba Family is officially in the Sprites section (even if it means needing to fix any error(s) in it before it can be accepted)
\/ has plenty of experience in both SMW hacking and ASM
I have a Paint file that has many of the GFX I'm gonna use in my upcoming hack (although I'm not using every single graphic in the file, mind you). It happens to contain many of the GFX that I showed a bunch of you guys on Discord in #showoff.
/\ not a whole lot, but if something interesting comes out of it (be it music or anything ASM related), I might check it out.
< is more into chocolate SMW hacking than vanilla
\/ prefers chocolate SMW hacks over vanilla SMW hacks?
I'm quite surprised there was a tie for second place between Team Green Yoshi and Team Yellow Yoshi...if there had been a tie for first instead, would the tied teams have shared the trophy (presuming that there would have been no breaking a tie for first if it had happened)?

Nonetheless, man, that race was pretty close in the end, but all in all, gotta give my congrats to the members of Team Red Yoshi. You guys edged us fair and square.
Your avatar is based on lx5's Electric Mario custom powerup.
/\ yes, but I also like playing the hacks that are a little harder, but are not classified as Kaizo.
< is planning to make a difficulty curve for my new hack that gradually goes from easy to very hard
\/ has played a hack of any Legend of Zelda game?
lion, of all the versions of the SMB3 Burners I've seen, yours are the best, I'm happy to say.

Now, I'd like to ask a couple of questions about your version of the SMB1 scale lifts please; one, did you base your scale lift on Sonikku's version? And two, when the player stands on one of your scale lifts too long, and causes both platforms to fall, will they get 1000 points like in SMB1?

I look forward to seeing the scale lifts once they're ready for release.
/\ I actually do know how to design levels.
< has several level ideas on his mind right now, including some that will revolve around the use of at least one of lx5's custom powerups.
\/ has watched a YouTube video of a tough level/area in a video game to help get through said level/area?
