/\ no, but I'm very tempted to play at least one of them someday when I can find the time to try out a new hack.
< is currently working on a hack right now that I hope to have lots of custom ASM stuff in
\/ likes hacks with lots of ASM stuff in them?
I honestly don't know what to make of the eyeball in a triangle thingy, but I'll give it a 6/10 as it looks pretty decent to me.

It's the thing I mentioned about Mini Mario. Because of his smaller size than even Small Mario, I don't think there's any other way around the issue, especially since I don't want the surface to instantly kill Mario.

I'll make an ASCII image, that I hope will help clear things up.

Basically, the X's would represent the part of the poison water that would kill only Mario, while the ~'s would represent the water tiles that would act like air to Mario and water to sprites. Otherwise, Mini Mario would be able to cheese the poison water by jumping in and out of the water, as long as he never touches the deadly part of the water.
/\ made a good wish in his signature (if only I could grant it).

\/ played Simon Says on another forum and was disqualified for refusing to do some of the commands.
As someone with a very, VERY strong sense of justice, I'm so glad you guys adopted this policy. One question though, does this also protect people who have a certain disability that is a part of them (whether it's physical or mental), like autism or asperger's for example?

Being as I have asperger's, I'm hoping this policy protects every autistic person here. I'd be heartbroken and angry if I or someone else was a target of discrimination all because of being autistic or having some other disability.

So yeah, thanks for adapting this policy SMWCentral. Hope this will make the site better.

No you're not actually...I just got a couple of Facebook notifications from the Facebook group (I'm a part of the group), and surprise, surprise...it's alive and well.

It's funny how this kind of thing can happen, when you least expect it.
Your avatar reminds me of Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus, plus with Christmas on the horizon, how about I give you 10/10? Truly a very nice avatar.
Okay, a couple of months have passed since my last request here, so I'm gonna make a new request here.

Name: Disable Tile Priority on Death
Type: UberASM
Description: You know how Mario always goes behind a tile when you enable priority for it, even when he dies and loses a life? I'm looking for a small tweak to this, so that if Mario dies anywhere on the screen (even if he is touching a tile with priority enabled), that he goes in front of all tiles on screen. I'm presuming this would work best with gamemode 14, am I right?

My thanks in advance.
Well, this is gonna be what I call a 2-in-1 post.

First, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, hope Santa found all of you and gave you what you wanted (I know that was certainly the case for me; among my gifts were a Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Maker 2, a waffle bowl maker, a Soda Stream Fizzi with a spare C02 cylinder and 5 bottles of flavorings (Orange, Ginger Ale, Root Beer, and 2 Colas), Sonic the Hedgehog on Blu-Ray/DVD, and some new clothes).

Also, Blind Devil, I'm so sorry to see you go. I hope life will get better for you in the near future. You'll be missed here for sure.
Hey, are you guys are taking any kind of suggestions for resources to add to the next BLDC (in hopes it'll help make it better than the first BLDC)? I'm very curious.
Congratulations, Tahixham! Well deserved.
You play as Luigi in most Nintendo games that Mario and Luigi star in.
/\ sort of; I try to keep my expectations from becoming too high, though.
< is really hoping my 20 year high school reunion happens this year, considering I'd like an opposite sex friend to go with me to the event(s) if the pandemic fails to stop the event(s) from happening
\/ went to a high school reunion (or is planning to go to one at the "right" time)?
Hmm, this quiz sounds quite interesting. I don't recall such a thing being done on SMWCentral, but nonetheless, I wish everyone who gets at least one question the best of luck in answering the questions.
I'm seriously impressed with all the stuff you ported or made for SMB1 and SMB3 RussianMan, especially the Sticky Koopa. Like others have said, it looks like it could be used for some rather interesting setups.

I have a question about your port of the Hopping Flame though, can either flame be destroyed if Tanooki Mario lands on top of them in statue form? I can imagine the big flame would be defeated by the statue stomp, though I can't easily visualize the same thing happening with the small flame.
Wow, Darolac, those are some awesome looking screenshots! I especially like the one with the Bullet Bills in bubbles, and the one with the YI Hot Lips enemy (I believe that's what K3fka was referring to).

Did you use ENMSTL with the Hot Lips? I'm curious.
Just curious to ask if you're using a pencil for this? I recall my dad made some pencil art of real people before, though I can't imagine doing that kind of art using pencil, since I'm presuming it would require quite a bit of skill.

But nonetheless, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
How about making a level with the Para-Goomba Bomber from this sprite? I only saw it in one hack so far (a SMW hack that is more like SMB3 rather than SMW), but besides the plan to use it in my hack (with a little bit of tweaking required to use it with lx5's custom powerups; if you are using any of those custom powerups and want to use the Para-Goomba Bomber, some tweaking of the latter will need to be done), it would be very interesting to see it in another hack someday.
Those are some very interesting resources you've got there KevinM! I especially like the fading lights and the code that makes extended sprites interact with blocks. I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone uses the latter to make a level similar to World 9-7 from New Super Mario Bros. Wii (the one with the frozen coins and Munchers that can be defrosted by both player fireballs and enemy fireballs) once you get around to adding custom block support for that code.

Out of sheer curiosity KevinM, have you considered using the fading lights code to make a level initially dark, while having an enemy that temporarily brightens the area when hit with something, like in the DKC3 level Floodlit Fish (note: I'm not requesting an enemy to do that, although now that I think about it, I think someone may have already done it)? I have a funny feeling that level's concept would be fairly easy to replicate in SMW using the fading lights code.
The drawings look pretty good, although I wish you had drawn my friend just a little bit better (it's my only nitpick here)...one thing's for sure, if there's another one of these picture collages in the future, I'll try to get one of myself alone next time (truth be told; I'm a little bit camera shy, at least the sun wasn't in my face when that picture was taken).
