I've already posted this in Basic SMW Hacking - Ask anything about SMW Hacking! But maybe this is more advanded(I'm not sure)......
I have succesfully patched my hack with the health bar using xkas. Now I would like that Mario doesn't change small when he is at his last heart. I know how to use translhextion, but I'm pretty n00b with it.
I found this in the ROM Map section, but I don't know if this will help me?:

So this changes the hitbox for small Mario from 16x16 to 16x32. I could then change the graphics for small Mario manually to big Mario. However, small Mario uses less poses than big Mario. For example when big Mario runs he uses three poses and small Mario uses two. So it looks ugly ingame. This is also the for full speed run en jumping. Also there are some cutoff tiles(thanks KC for the addition info).
So my question: Is there a way to change it in translhextion. So that Mario doens't transform to small Mario when the healthbar is at its last heart. And big Mario will die when the healthbar is empty.
