@TLMB: Yeah those targets are realy cool, I could use them too :).
Its up to you of course to give them free or not. You at least gave me more inspiration.

@Ice man: I like the fog. Its really nice to put in some creepy levels: ghosthouse, swamp. I'm thinking of making a polution swamp level. That mist then could be used to make some kind of poisonfumes.

I was wondering if anyone of you guys knows anything about this hack. I saw it like a year ago and it got me interested in SMW-hacking. But ever since I havent seen anything of this romhack on smwcentral.
It really looks fun to play.
What I can see from the video's on youtube that it bassicly is a ExGFX hack(maybe because its an early hack), but the level design seems good. The author is ?Sean?. Can someone please tell me where to find the .ips for this hack or maybe upload it? Thanks a million.

I'm not an expert on this, but a search function would slow dowm the forum seriously right?

I always use google or ctrl+f. It very educating if you are new. You will also come across some other threads you did not intially intend to read. However sometimes those threads will teach you someting you didn't know.

Thanks for the (mainly) positive responses. I gave it a try and I really like it. The palettes however hurt my eyes from time to time.

I don't know if I would be the right person to submit this hack. Maybe someone from the site moderators can have a look at this. According to the title screen its from 2001-2002, so maybe for the the 'golden oldie'-hack section :-).

I used the statusbar editor. The editor also says that the counter can't move or be deleted.

Edit: Well I managed to do it with translhextion. Adress 01253 and 01268 change both to EAEAEA.
It can also be found in the ROM Map here on smw. Stupid I did not look there, cause its pretty basic really.

Well its nice that you try to get the hang of Lunar magic. I'm not that impressed yet though. Personally I don't like remakes of original SMW levels. But its about what you want with Lunar magic: do you wanna make a completely new game(graphics, music, gameplay) or do you wanna make hard levels ala Kaizo Mario.
Remaking SMW levels is good training for both these goals.
Thats how I started too. Ga zo door!

Anyway, if you ever need some help you can always send me a PM(Even in Dutch, I'm Dutch too :) ).

I have succesfully patched my hack with the health bar using xkas. Now I would like that Mario doesn't change small when he is at his last heart. I know how to use translhextion, but I'm pretty n00b with it.

I found this in the ROM Map section, but I don't know if this will help me?:

06D79 Change to A9 00 to make Super/Fire/Cape Mario have a 16x16 interaction field (like Small Mario)or change it to A9 01 to have a 16x32 interaction field (like big Mario) (in conjunction with addresses B6C0 and 1B87C)

Could someone please tell me what I need to change or explain the text above, cause I'm pretty clueless.

Thats a start, thank you for that. There is still a problem with the graphics. Small Mario uses less graphics than big mario. For instance when big mario runs he has like three poses and small Mario only has two, if I'm right. So it looks strange when 'edited-small/big'-Mario runs.
I don't know how to fix this.

Wow that was quick. Within 10 days of starting this thread you decide to cancel your hack. Did you put much effort in this project to make it work? Cause then it would be shame if you have to cancel it.
I like the idea of your hack, the robot-theme. Maybe if you keep tweaking it can turn out to be very nice.

In general I think that hacks are getting cancelled too early or a thread for a new hack is started too early. I'm guilty of this myself...

So this changes the hitbox for small Mario from 16x16 to 16x32. I could then change the graphics for small Mario manually to big Mario. However, small Mario uses less poses than big Mario. To change it into custom music you have inserted in your rom. Use a hexeditor and go to offset 018C7. Then change the it into the number of your custom song.
You can only use OW songs for the title screen if I'm right...

I tried your advice and changed the poses from small Mario into big Mario using SMWPTE. Ingame however 'small' Mario still uses only two poses for running etc. Even if I have changes three poses in SMWPTE. And I also have the same cutoff tiles when I speed jump and speed run.

I don't know how to fix this....
