I just played trough your edited levels. My impression: its okay. The main part I like is that you paid attention to multiple paths the player can take in a level, though your puzzles sometimes are repetitive(bumping a shell into a block to proceed).

Personally I wouldn't consider this a complete rom-hack, but more like a kind of training rom-hack for personal use and trying new things.
If you're thinking of making a hack which can compete with the hacks on SMWcentral, I advise you to learn more(ExGFX, custom music, block and sprites, etc) about SMW hacking. It takes a lot of patience, but its really fun when it works all together.

It's Cave Story - Moonsong. I wanted to use it too for the title screen of my hack, but I guess thats not original now anymore :(.

This hack is indeed fantastic. I like the train theme, however I don't like the original game it came from. One of the most frustrating games I've played(especially the American football level). But I this has nothing to do with your hack(at least I hope) and it will be one of the best hacks ever made judging from the screens and videos posted.
Two small points of critique: does this western theme blend in with your Egyptian theme?

I hope that you can live up to the hype which is created around your hack. It looks promising thusfar.

Very surprising! I like the castle graphics from your cutscene. Is it ripped or drawn by you? Either way, good job! I also like the rest of the graphics, it gives a really unique feel to the hack so far.
Keep it up.

Or use Romi's unofficial addmusic(http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=thread&id=8860). You can insert as many songs as you like(I believe it can add 100 level songs).

Like you have when you play SMW2: Yoshi's Island? There is a short introduction and its almost impossible to die.(never died actually, I wonder what happens if I do)

I always liked it btw, so yes go for it. I was thinking of implementing it in my hack too.

I have some things I would like to point out.
First of all, you can really tell that there has been put a lot of effort in this hack. Its very original and the introducing scenes are breathtaking.

However there are some minor things that aren't good yet
As posted before there are some OW bugs:

Also, I like the bananas a lot(the DKC series is one of my favourite games of all time). They look very nice and the status bar is changed accordingly. But you left the coinboxes unchanged and when you hit a enemy with a fireball they leave a coin behind. Its not right that you get a banana in the bananacounter when I get a coin in the game. Maybe you could change this to a banana. That would make it fit better into the theme of the hack.
Last point: there are some language problems. Some sentences are a bit strange to read. English isn't my native language and it isn't yours eiter, so I suggest you let someone take a look at it who speaks english.

But this is a demo and I guess that there always some small problems like these. Like I said before: I really enjoy it so far.

Yeah sorry about that, I was busy making a screenshot and editing my post so I was too slow :-).

@Mint, I really like tree part of the level. Especially the 'stair/vine' climbing, it blends in very nice. Maybe you could give the player a second chance with the shield bumping thing. Maybe a another shell or a trowing block or something?

You can also delete it and use the sprite from level 3, that enables the side exits. If you exit you end up at the actual level 3 in the OW, but I'm sure it can be changed. Not yet had the time to try it.

Very nice! I had that idea too, but I lack the skills to actually make it. I hope you will be able to solve the problem with saving/restarting. I can't wait to play this....:-).

Don't let us crazy 'fans' rush you into doing something that you might regret. Every hacker/hack/zelda game needs time to get perfect(or at least the way the creator wants it to be).

So don't put out a demo if it reveals too much of the story or gives away other stuff you want to keep secret for now.
Take your time and don't rush. Rome wasn't built in one day :-)

In meantime I will monitor this thread and your hack very closely.

It's much better, but I don't know if its good enough for submitting to the site. But if it works for you.......
I would improve the OW if I were you. Try to add some decorations and shape the ground(a little less squarish). Also the island on the OW2 screen looks weird with two different colours.

Maybe you can try and play some of the good hack from the featured hacks section and get an idea of what (very) good hack are. I'm not saying that you have to be as good as those, but it can give you a feeling on what the standards are for great hacks.

I can tell from the screenshot that you already put a lot of effort into it, so thats positive. Keep it up and maybe it will turn out to be a great hack!

You have to create your own palatte. Alter the colours of a palette you want to use, to the colours that would fit for a desert. Could take some time before you have the right colours.
