So, with the courage you gave me, I've chosen another song to port, the update is in OP.
Choosing songs to port is fun because the choice is wide, but every song I look at, I ask to myself "would I see this level in a Mario level?"; some of them are too slow, some others are not nice for looping, some others may sound too solemn, etc.
Oh purée BOBO est de retour!
Ca me met en joie.
J'ai testé tout cela, merci pour la carte libre, j'ai pu jouer un petit peu de chaque niveau.
Félicitations sur les musiques, les graphiques et l'ambiance, tout y est
Bien joué et la bise d'Istanbul.
(insert some English translation: I'm glad to see my buddy again and I enjoyed his work very much)
Name: Easter Eggs Type: Sprite Description: It is a simple yellow Yoshi egg that hatches, but instead of baby Yoshi it gives a gift sprite, such as coin, Mushroom, or why not Star. Sprite number can be customised. Use: To make an Easter-themed level.
Option (combination): If possible, compatibility with Koopster's coin hunt pack would be awesome. So I guess there would be a custom rolling coin sprite that triggers the coin hunt flag when grabbed.
We have a lot of time until next Easter. I like this idea.
Thanks in advance
I'm glad some of the posts I had personally voted for got nominated.
Very happy for Teyla, Von Farenheit, Eminus, Lotica, Gamma V, Ersanio, Wakana, Darolac, and oh well I'm typing from phone and definitely forgot some.
I'm rather surprised at the amount of overlap between categories, does it mean everyone was too lazy to put variety in their votes? Lol. I had this strange idea that Honorary Mentions was intended to receive threads I did not place in other categories. So that's what I did.
Kinda sad my blu blu team is 4th, but hey good job guys. And sorry for not posting more ahah. I hope my fav C3 threads that aren't nominated nor spotlighted won't fall into oblivion. I may bookmark them. Should have done from the start.
See you next C3, hopefully I'll have more music stuff and even some romhack work.
I've had trouble for a while with layer 3 stuff, I don't exactly understand.
But here, when I click on the .mwl files provided for layer 3 backgrounds, I receive a notification of ExGFX missing. But I have already extracted the ExGFX, so how comes? Or should I place the layer 3 tiles by myself in the layer 3 editor?
Also is it allowed to mix the sprites' GFX. Thanks.
It is I, qantuum, and I will show off my level's shenanigans.
Story is simple, Bowser has hired Mario's former interior designer (keyword: former, because this designer does ugly things). Therefore, Bowser invites Mario to discover the changes to his castle, because in this alternate universe they don't try to kill each other. Mario roams through displays of unnecessary fancy tiles.
Here's some screens of what we get so far.
OK, and then I've recorded that in video. This is the first half of the level.
Thanks for your attention.
Disclaimer: The flickering blue colours are here on purpose... Because... I can.
Nah well, I see those Pokeys block the way in the free-fall.
Ok, the difficulty is a bit over my usual limits but I'd say it is a rather good idea and sure will catch attention. I completed some more screens. The part where the vertical warp stops were surprising at first, and even with paying attention to them it becomes challenging. Well done.
