Why don't you try out the firebar for yourself and see what it does? But yeah, it's the line of fireballs which rotate around a fixed point from SMB1's castles.
Have you somehow set them to act like invisible POW coins instead of normal coins? (tile 2A instead of 2B)
You ought to at least change the Goombas into little Colonel Sanders spider robots like in the actual PETA game.
You're referring to mikeyk's Boss Bass? As far as I know, he hasn't made any changes to it since releasing it. This probably ought to go in the requests thread or something, especially if there's some feature missing from the sprite that you'd like to see added.
If you don't like what's available to you, you're going to have to make your own. Closed on account of whinging.
To give some actual criticism of the hack itself, using cement blocks as top corners is ugly. Use Map16 to flip the normal corners upside down and put them in the place of those cement blocks. You misspelled "defeathering" in the second message. If you're actually serious about making this into a good hack, don't base your levels off of the ones from the PETA game. They were basically designed so that the player couldn't die, because the only purpose of that game was to get its message out, not to have any kind of real gameplay.
Replace... add... either way, you'd better get to learnin'. Less idle speculation about whether something is possible, more actual doing, please.
I'm American, and I find bearded veteran guy's actions outrageous. People who can get that worked up over a piece of cloth honestly frighten me.

Any law that made it illegal to fly a flag in a certain way would violate the first amendment. Yes, there is a set of federal laws called the "flag code," which offers guidelines for how the flag should be displayed, such as "Don't let it touch the ground," "Don't fly it upside down," and "If the flag is flown at night, there must be a light shining on it," but none of these are actually enforcable laws. The Supreme Court has ruled them unconstitutional. If you buy a flag, you have the right to do whatever you want with it, whether that's displaying it according to the flag code's guidelines, flying it under another country's flag, or even burning it as a sign of protest.

The Mexican business owner was breaking no real law. The veteran, on the other hand, committed theft and should be prosecuted. If he was offended by the Mexican business owner's innocent mistake, he could have politely asked him to change the order of the flags instead of spazzing out like that, or better yet, simply ignored it.

Seeing the level in your background hack, you had the wrong initial background postion. Since Mario started out at the bottom of the level instead of the top, it should have been set to C0.
Normally, you could just create a hybrid ExGFX set, but Fishin' Boo's flame shares graphics with Vertical Dolphin's head, so they can't be used in the same level unless you reprogram the game for one of them to use different graphics. (This is called "remapping") If you want to just use horizontal dolphins, you can just make two ExGFX files which look like this:

And set them for SP3 and SP4 in Super GFX Bypass. I don't know that I can really explain ExGFX better than the existing tutorials. If there's a specific part of the process that's tripping you up, maybe it could be explained more clearly.

If you want to use vertical Dolphins, too, you'll need to reorganize how the graphics are arranged and change the programming accordingly with a hex editor. (Which isn't really as difficult as it sounds)

"DarthRikoIsRight,ThisSiteFails" a completely different IP, and I mod banned both of his accounts for reregistering if nothing else.

DarthRiko, it sounds like you're just upset about about the flag thread. Maybe you should just back away from non-hacking stuff for a while. I generally ignore the political/religious threads around here because there are better forums out there if you want to intelligently discuss such issues. This site's main purpose is SMW hacking, and if you focus on that aspect, it's not a terrible place at all.

So yeah, I'd probably close this if I had power in here, but since I don't, let's try to keep things civil. No one's going to get banned for expressing their opinion, but flaming each other is no good.
You need to remap Eerie or the Note Block for them to be able to co-exist. I'd recommend remapping Eerie and making a new ExGFX file to be used for ghost levels instead of ever using GFX06. All the space the fish are taking up is just a waste since the fish's graphics are actually down in SP4. (Nintendo saved space by using the extra space in GFX06 as a SP3 file) So you can move Eerie's graphics to pretty much anywhere else in SP3.

Go to ROM address x09E5A and change the 6A to wherever you want to move the Eerie graphics. For instance, if you put it up in the top corner where Torpedo Ted's head currently is, you would change it to 00. The other top corner where Rip Van Fish is would be 0E.

And then you would just place Eerie's graphics in the appropriate spot, save it as an ExGFX file, and set that file for SP3 in any level that uses Eeries or Fishin' Boo. (I probably didn't explain that very clearly, huh?)

Use Sprite Tool. Now stop cluttering up Advanced Hacking with stuff you can easily find the answers for yourself.
