Sometimes there's an error saying "invalid sprite data" when I want to insert a sprite. I used to get it successfully, but how do I do this now?

The sprite list has the number and the sprite names after that, and the error pops up when I type both the ROM's name and the list's name.

-_- I used Romi's sprite tool, and I tried to insert some of his sprites today, but it didn't work for some reason.

Oh, never mind. I successfully inserted a 20 - Para-Beetle now. I think it had something to do with the .BIN file.

Yeah... How do I insert the sprites that come with Romi's sprite tool that I don't know which bin they're in? Gimme a list perhaps?

Not always, how do you explain blocks that are .BIN files?

That .bin means binary file, which makes sense for both actual executable data and data supposed to be interpreted as graphics, and not just "graphics file" and SMW ExGFX just so happens to be stored in the same format as the old blocks, the .bin format.

You don't insert .bin files with SpriteTool, you insert .cfg files.

I never said I insert the .bin files. I meant which GFX .bin files the sprites use. Because I can't find them. >:(

Sure, please do it. I don't think Missile Bills really use ExGFX, it just uses the same sprite with flashing palettes.

List of GFX that I couldn't find.
Bowser needs the correct palette.
Crab? (Tilemap $AE $AE $8E $8E 8E)
Kaboomba doesn't shoot the correct tile
Para Beetle (Tilemap $E4 $E6)
What is "piranha_sideways_hdma and venus_hdma and venus_upsidedown_hdma?

Could someone make a version of Golden Egg or Eggvine for Mac OS X 10.6.6 please?

What is HDMA?

(If you don't know what Wine is, it's software that can run some Windows programs on other operating systems such as Mac or Linux. It's worked for me with Eggvine, all SMW hacking tools except BlockTool Super Deluxe, some Touhou games, and a few other things. I can't seem to copy/paste anything except text when using it, though.)

Not sure if there's a way to run Golden Egg (or anything else that requires .NET 4.0) on Mac, though.

Which version of Wine? I know what Wine is, and I use it a lot, but how do I use Eggvine on Mac? I put COMDLG32.OCX on the same folder before, but no such luck. -_-'

Yeah, it says I couldn't find X11.app. Where should it be? NOTE: I use XQuarts and Mac OS X 10.6.6

What is Darwine helper???

EDIT: I can't get X11 to install. It says I have a newer version, but I don't have one.

EDIIIT: Since I can't get it to install, it's gonna have to wait until there is an OS X version of either editor, maybe a functional one that doesn't suck.

When you do the next beta, could you either do a version for Mac OS X that doesn't require Mono? Or you could do a version that works with Wine 1.3.25.

How did she get to have the ExGFX sprites shown in Lunar Magic? It doesn't work for me.

How do I extract custom sprites from hacks?

I've been trying to patch dsx.asm, but I can't get it to be patched. Note that I'm using Wineskin, and I try to patch. I'm trying to use the floating rock and it's still causing glitches. >:(

Never mind that anymore, I finally found an Xkas that works, and I can patch stuff. Not sure if dsx.asm works? Tutorial for dsx.asm?

Edit: IE I tried to add an Arrow Lift when I patched dsx.asm, but it was ugly and garbagey. I didn't know how to make dynamic sprites look right.

Sorry if you don't like these requests, but you gotta put in Swaphoppers (Those gravity-prone things in Rightside Down), inverted Podoboos if you're going to use lava (I think they might be in SMG2, lemme check), gravity switches to reverse gravity, and Thwomps facing upside-down in Rightside Down Galaxy.

EDIT: Yes, they're in the game, in one level, if you count being upside-down and the Podoboo jumping that way,
EDIT 2: You don't need to replace coins, you can make the Star Bits custom sprites or tiles.

...wanted to make a custom sprite?

I should want to know the codes for the .asm to make the sprite.

I hope there's a Mac OS X version for it, and I also hope there are sprite graphics for it.
