Tip: Try sketching out ideas for overworlds and levels. Even if they don't manage to fit into Lunar Magic completely, at least you have a base to work from, instead of doing it all from scratch.

I would recommend after checking the fire mario dialogue box saving the fire palette using lunar magic into a .pal file. After that, open up YY-CHR and click on
palette > Open palette .pal and then browse for your .pal file. Scroll down to the bottom of the palette menu and your fire palette should be there! Hope this helped!
A tutorial on how to insert .bin files in Lunar Magic's palette editor. I've searched everywhere, but I can't seem to find one. Like in SWR's SMB1 Graphics set, they're .bin files for the palettes and I have no idea how to use them.
I found it right here.
Ok, so I downloaded SWR's SMB1 Graphics Set and noticed it came with .bin files. How do you insert them with lunar magic?
Actually, I meant that the PALLETES are .bin files. I tried changing the extension to .pal but that screws stuff up. Anyone know a solution?
(sorry I didn't say it the first time.)
Once I get the .bin files I'll try that.
EDIT: Changing it to .mw3 fixes my problem! Thanks to Alcaro for the help and mods can close this.
Yeah, you're gonna have to draw the GFX yourself unless someone submitted a "perfectly square allGFX.bin".
Awesome progress on your hack Giant_Shyguy! Instead of mossy foreground, what about changing the sprites, blocks, pipes, and status bar so they look mossy?
Wow... Just found this thread today. Anyway, my birthday is March 10, year 2000.
(I prefer Mini Coin, by the way.)
Man, I hate having to port levels over to a new ROM, because I've had to do it like 5 times. One question I have, did you hand-draw those land/rocks/shell GFX yourself, or was it on the site? I also like the creative use of SMB2 sprites in Yoshi Quarantine.
You may notice that GFX28, GFX29, GFX2A, And GFX2B look garbled in yychr. To fix this, use the 2BPP GB editing mode so you can correctly edit and see the palletes of the status bar. By the way, GFX28, GFX29, GFX2A, And GFX2B are all used for layer 3.
#1 What's with the"whiter" clouds?
#2 What custom sprites are you using?
#3 I like the neat staircasing on the platforms!
#4 In the BG, the palette and the stacked clouds look weird.
#5 After secondary exit #1C8, do you use the bridge to the right to get out?
#6 They're a lot of banzai bills, which can frustrate the player.
#7 The level doesn't seem too hard to me.
#8 I like the turn block GFX you used!
#9 It does remind me of it, yet it feels original.
#10 This level looks awesome! Keep up the good work!
The palette for the far-out hills and the closer hills' dots, you know, the brown-ish colors. For the clouds, it just looks odd that some clouds are on top of each other. Speaking more about the #1C8 secondary exit, what about shortening the small pipe so you don't have to duck under it?
In trigger-happy range, there seems to be a blank p-switch. Is it just a normal switch or something else?

Love the cave GFX you're using!

Try tweaking the palletes in sublevel 3 so they don't look so blue.

Maybe it's just me, but sublevel 1 looks a tiny bit empty.

This hack looks promising! Can't wait to see more levels from you!
I know that the arrows use layer 3 and can be editable with terra stripe. If your looking for a patch of some sort to do that, try asking in the Requests section. Although in SMA2, the creators made that possible.
Do you have OW Spritetool? Because there are two in the tools section. Also, try checking the tutorials section, because you might find some helpful info on inserting overworld sprites.
