I saw a thing with wings and a snooty thing on its face in the sky. It's a demon and it's coming to kill us all!
Thicket Area (Original Composition)
A work-in-progress thing for a SUPER SEKRIT hack I'm making (it has to do with spiders). The distortion guitar sound is a placeholder, and will be replaced with a choir sample.
EDIT: Made it better. Replaced guitar sound with flute sound and did some panning adjustments.

I think it sounds pretty nice. Though, I would either replace the @2 with something else, or use a higher octave. Other than that, I liked where you going with it for the most part. Nice job.
Now then, would you like to comment on mine that's right above you?

Your SPC sounds pretty good. Certainly fits the dark desert setting you described.

Here's a semi-finished release of Crystal Islands. Try it! It's got things in it. (I hope I did the link right, it's my first time using Dropbox.)
The reason I say "semi-finished" is because I want some feedback/criticism/whatever on what should be changed, and there might be some bugs to squash as well. If everything seems to be good, then stick it into the collab. Enjoy! Or not.

Pros:
-Great atmosphere.
-Nice use of those cannons.
Cons:
-Convert your music to an MP3 and fix the loop. It's very abrupt.
-You might want to get some other opinions on this, but to me, I think the midpoint should be moved a bit earlier into the level and the last room should be cut off entirely (as in, the level should end after the elevator). The last section honestly feels tacked on.
Question:
-Are the Grinders supposed to kill the big fireballs? It seems like you designed it that way, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a glitch.
Nice level, aside from what I pointed out.

It is a glitch. Those grinders aren't even supposed to reach the fireball part, and I'm probably going to redesign the elevator part anyways so the grinders won't even be there anymore. As for the music, that's the result of an oversight that was, admittedly, ridiculously obvious. Both of these will be fixed up right away!
I figured I should give my level its own thread. So...here it is! Also, I updated the level. Rejoice! Or not.

Crystal Islands is a space-themed level...sort of, with colorful floating rocks and an underwater background. Enemies include Bullies, Paragoombas and Volcano Lotuses. The main gimmick is a cannon called the Billy Gun. Players can carry it and watch it automatically blast Bullet Bills in the direction they're facing.
The music used is "Outer Space" from Super Paper Mario.
Changes in the most recent version:
*Music looping fixed (for the most part) and converted to MP3
*Midway point moved back a bit
*Elevator section completely redone, now utilizing the billy gun like the rest of the level and with less Grinder Glitchiness
*Last room shortened to just the star, the last dragon coin and some bricks
Link
EDIT: fixed some file name inconsistencies.

That's right, I'm making another level. As you can see, it's a haunted swamp with underwater sections and lots of very tall trees. Unlike Crystal Islands which focuses on the billy gun item, Bugmurk Bog is mostly standard platforming mixed with water level stuff.

No download yet as it isn't finished, but in the meantime, you can look at the preview screenshots.
Music used:
Dark Crater - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness
Deep Limestone Cavern - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

New version! Not much is changed, however.

Changes:
*The yellow Toad who tells you about the Bully enemy has been moved and his text has been changed.
*Midway point moved to right before the water part in the third room.
