Use the palette editor and use the help file to tell you what is used for Mario. It'll only affect 1 level!

No! Go into the correct level and click either the door with a 1 on it (for the main and midway entrances) or click the door with a 2 on it and select the secodary entrance you are using. Now, go down to the bottom, where it says "Layer 1, 2 (FG, BG) Position". If Mario is high up in the screen, choose 00 for both. If he is around the middle, choose 60, for both. If he is on the bottom, choose C0, for both. It works. Read the manual and F.A.Q. next time, because I'm pretty sure both have them.

Anyway, I think that you don't really have enough plaforming mixed in. There is a lot you could do by combining turn bridges and bouncy things. Unfortunately, you need to move quickly on walls, lest you fall off. I was thinking that you wouldn't need that, just like any old bug. (In fact, in NSMB, they stayed up there until you came across. I might be able to do that if I messed with the code a bit (maybe even require you to walk, making thwomps a problem...), so should and allow you to make puzzles, both up and down, or should I not?

I looks great except that the ground... it doesn't scroll... and... then... anything on it moves forward, not backward.... I'd recomend making that layer 2 as well.
EDIT: Also, the up-side down, fire-sprying pirahna plant should act like a normal, up-side down pirahna plant besides the fire. (Sensitivity of Mario)
