i'm sure that doesnt exist. you mean pirated version of minecraft allowed?

By hacking allowed I think he means hacked clients like flying and fullbright and speedmod, etc.

^This.

Should've been clearer. I'd never play anything without buying it.

Oh wait...

I'm interested in composing/remixing a music track based on vanilla SMW music.

Is there a tutorial for making SNES music?

By the way, can the SNES support voices in the music/SFX?

*jaw drops to floor* :O

This is the definition of awesomeness. I didn't even think this was possible! Diagonal levels, spaghetti levels...

And that first screenshot could be redone to fill up the whole square?

I'm glad I read this before doing anything at all to my hack besides copying the clean ROM...

Oh, I thought it was a joke taken too far by the overly large text... :P

If you reload your thread or go into it again from the forum list, then it counts as a separate view. Were you reloading to look for a new post?

I thought the one sprite was all four of them. :/

Collect the coins to boost the economy? Has the Mushroom King been spending too much lately? *big grin*

Anyway, it is a bit too flat, but otherwise decent. Sounds like the later levels will be harder than in a normal hack since you need to get every single coin. #w{>=)}

NSMB editor link is broken. :(

Does UberASM install the same way LevelASM does? Apparently not, because attempting to patch level.asm with asar gives me a "not found" error for every single "dw levelX" line, and the tutorial I used doesn't even mention any equivalent for "asar_patch.asm."

Didn't work. It gave me a "can't open file" error for every file in the hijacks folder.

You know, I really hate it when I make mistakes that are so stupid in hindsight...

In other words, no, they weren't in the same folder. >.<

First of all, if anyone's done a port/remix of the NSMB DS title screen, just say so and ignore the rest of this post. (It's not in the music section, but you never know...)

Anyway, how hard would it be to port the NSMB DS title screen to work in the SNES? I don't mean exactly the same, I mean more or less the same music, but simple enough to work.

Note that I've never ported music before, and if it's not too complicated, I want to use this as "learning on the job" in addition to practice porting.

Level up - Monty Mole!

I don't keep it a secret at all, but I don't bring it up unless the conversation gets similar (not that it often does :P).

I'm not sure if this is where I should post this...

I was wondering if it would be allowed to use xkas2asar to convert some xkas patches to asar and reupload them? Of course I'd test them, and put the original creator in the "created by" field, but I wanted to check if it was allowed so I wouldn't get myself in trouble. :P

So I can?

It seems submitting others' stuff is permitted (with permission?), since lots of things were made by different people than who submitted them, like LM itself.

Is there a byte I can change or simple patch I can add to make Mario invisible on the title screen?

The idea is that I want ExAnimated tiles for Mario and Luigi running to the right, but actual Mario not seen. I need him invisible but there so that the level moves. :P

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I'm only just now starting SMW hacking again, and what little I already knew is rusty. :P

Um... did I get banned? All I did was make a TNT-spammer, which I was trying to break because I realized it must be lagging the server even thought it doesn't blow anything up anymore. I was kicked with the message "Just wanted to bring you back so I could record this to laugh at someday." What?

My original TNT rain machine got me no warnings when I built it back when TNT did damage. (It was of course high enough to not matter though since it blew up high above the ground.)

EDIT: Just saw "Don't go crazy with TNT." I thought it just didn't lag too much with a big, not-spammy clock. I would've ripped out the Rain machine then. :P

Just look at the chat logs. I knew it was disabled because someone already told me. Besides, it's too high to cause any damage even if it was enabled. (Test it if you didn't already remove it.)

It was supposed to be a push-button-then-another to have TNT progressively drop around a ring above spawn, but I guess I shouldn't have put it above spawn if at all.
