No, watch TheFinalBoss's run of Glitch Abuse, and check the orange auto-scroll room. He corner clips to get underneath the level to break the next room with yoshi.
Notice if you try the same thing except with a muncher not lava it will not work

How is it possible to be lower than the shell's top, and still jump off of it from below it, and how does it work? Whenever I want to do it, it won't work, because I'm working on gaining height by swallowing and jumping off of a shell at the same time.
For example, right here, the conditions are good:


But, when I try to do that same thing with different values, at a higher height (even though that doesn't matter, I think) I fall off of yoshi:

No I already new that. I just wanted to know why yoshi can jump off of it at a lower height sometimes, but not a higher hight a lot of times

A more detailed explanation is that sometimes the game glitches after mario reaches the speed of at least 33, and many times (without it even being known) mario goes into a wall by 1-4 pixels, and on the 3rd or 4th pixel, mario is counted as being far enough in to be counted as being on a block. Notice that on a regular block, you can only stay on it until a couple pixels before it ends. The speeds vary for the requirements, so there is no exact speed in every condition you can
walljump using the same speed. Usually you'll have to experiment, pressing back or releasing right/left for one frame at a time, and sometimes, re-try the walljump completely. It takes place between a block boundary, but if your speed is right, then you can be counted as on the block for up to 8 pixels before catching it. Also, a downward motion is not required for it. You can also do it directly straight, or in some cases from the bottom (but not at a too high of a slope). You can. Clipping to the right is impossible with small Mario, though.

That's why I asked. I lost the picture reference Regnum0nline sent to me (it was really helpful for what values meant what).

I am not sure if that is possible. However, HoorayForJay did it with a high speed(63).
The normal way is to drop it, slow down your speed by not pressing any buttons, and then hold down right before re-gaining your speed from a 43 speed (that's what I do) to the normal 47, 48, and 49. That way, you won't have to switch directions.

The hack has been updated, and it contains better GFX and a few "bugs" that are fixed. By bugs, I mean things that had bad planning (none at all actually) and that I just put together really quick. The video link below shows me TASing v1.11, so a few things might be different if you download this one.

I would let the walljump situation go if you're allowing the player to reach a speed of 38 (Mario's first frame you can jump with max speed). The hack itself isn't too hard sounding to me. Have you pulled up the sprite slots to make sure that the plyer can carry items on yoshi?
