Moderator,

I am horribly sorry for you having the trouble to take through my hack.

The hack was not ready as yet, and I have rebuilt all flaws as you have mentioned.
I had submitted that Icy Peaks part by mistake. (The name of the overworld)

I have made some MAJOR and minor edits and tweaks, because the day after submission, I myself found my hack demo horrible.

It might take some time to create the complete hack, as I still have like 3 Worlds left to make, so it might be around christmas before complete submission.

Anyone up for a collab hack called New Super Mario bros. 2 : The Million coins? ( or some name similar). It will be very similar to the game for the 3DS, and we have almost everything we need here, Raccoon suit, ground pound, flagpole, walljump, 1 million coins patch, etc. etc.).

I've decided to do a hack called (title), which follows the style of the original Gameboy game. I just wanted feedback on the idea.

Some important points I would like to mention:

-There will be 6 worlds, and one challenge one.
-6 Levels + Castle to a world. (Challenge World has 3 levels)
-List of Worlds:
1) Mushroom Hills (Grassland)
2) Cocoa Caves (Underground)
3) Poison Lake (Forest)
4) ???
5) Chai Kingdom (Mountain) (Yes, It's from the original)
6) Outer Orbit (Space)
C) Superstar Summit (Challenge)
--OMG OMG PLEASE GIVE IDEA FOR WORLD 4--

-I have the STARSW Package ( Don't ask where I got it), so there is a low-gravity patch in it. That could come handy in the space zone.

-I will try to get Marine Pop and Sky Pop, or something similar.

-Yoshi won't exist.
-Music going to be used (Probably)
- Mushroom Hills -
OW - SMB3 World 5, Level - NSMB level theme

OW - Some Custom Music I found, Level - SMB 1 Underground

10 Years after the events of Mario Land, Tatanga decides to return to Sarasaland to seek his revenge. He has already wreaked havoc and Mario is called to save the day! Mario has to chase Tatanga out to space so he may never return! (Dun dun duuuuuunnnnnnn)

If you are new to SMW hacking, then I would prefer you use Xkas GUI. It's much more simpler and avoids the hassle of using a command prompt.

Oh, and if you get scared of the CHKSM (or something similar) failing, just move something in Lunar Magic and save it, as the program automatically corrects incorrect checksums, I beleive.

Well, as Ladida mentioned, you don't have to begin making your hack right away. As for patches, try learning to use Xkas. Then apply patches which fix problems in the original game ( "TIME UP" appearing on death in a level with time "000", for instance).
Some essential tools you may need will be:
Lunar Magic #smw{-_-2}

AddMusic ( Use HuFlungDu's, it is much better for beginners, and there are many tutorials about them)

SpriteTool ( Use Romi's, same reason, same reason)

Xkas GUI ( Better as it helps you to apply patches in a GUI form without using cmd)

Hey everyone!
So I am making a hack called Mario's **** **** ( Hidden until further notice). I wanted some toads and yooshis that would stand in a level and talk to us. I can do the blocks required, but I don't know how to make ExGFX of them standing.

Or more specifically, I want to know how to add an extra page of GFX in YY-CHR. I've seen others do it.
Please help!

Hello!

While browsing through youtube, I stumbled upon this pack of ULTIMATE patches (sprites?) called STARSW. being the curious guy I am, I somehow was able to download the pack, and there it rests in my folder. I was wondering if I could (should?) share it, as some of them are extremely useful. ( One makes the level completely low gravity for Mario, which could come in handy for space levels).

By the way, why is this pack not mentioned ANYWHERE in these forums? Oh dear, I hope i'm not douing anything wrong by downloading it....

Well, I actually can't seem to find the author. (He is known as..er..unknown). If we can't find him, then we can't credit someone, nor can anyone claim to be the creator. hence making it a piece of bits and bytes which travelled aross the internet at lightning speed and by coincidence, turned out to be those useful sprites in SMW?

Thanks a lot guys! I already have the sprite gfx of toad and yoshi, so I just need to insert Twoo tiles of them both, making a total of four tiles. Thats all?

Hmmm, I read somewhere that you shouldn't put a secondary exit after screen 09 in a vertical level. You should check just in case.
