http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=84654

(I hope I did this right)

--------------------
Deoxys is working on it real quick, give us a few minutes.

--------------------

TSRP-X Thread: http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=84654

let us try this again shall we?

--------------------

Let's rock the boat with a cluster of screenies from the levels already in the demo.

In order (left to right comic book style):
S-2: Collision Chaos Zone (FireSeraphim)
2-Castle: Eventide Keep (FireSeraphim)
2-Fort: Dungeon of Unquestionable Agony (Savordez and FireSeraphim)
2-E: Shroom Paradise (Darkonius)
2-D: Ruins under Siege (FireSeraphim)

I hope more of you will consider downloading the demo, the more feedback we receive, the more we can improve overall.

--------------------
13 hours of C3 remaining eh? I wish to thank the hand-full of C3-goer who decided to visit this thread and the scarce thimble-full who were brave enough to try out the demo for TSRP-X. I especially wish to thank FPI for his appraisal, his criticism and his blessing. We promise to try and make TSPR-X the best new SMBX episode in recent ages, thank you all and have a happy C3 and a good night.

--------------------
It's been years since I last bothered to log in to SMWC. Anyways Daizo and MellonPizza, I think you both did a great job on the direct. Also if anyone is interested in helping out with TSRP-X development in any way I highly encourage you to check out either the SMBX Forums thread or the Talkhaus thread for it.

--------------------
Being that I'm something of an old timer myself and that my biases may factor into that, I would like to re-nominate The Second Reality Project Reloaded and The Second Reality Project 2 Reloaded by FPI. These hacks were the creme of the creme of SMW Hacks back when they were released and I feel that the level design holds up even today. On top of that both TSRPR's have excellent, well realized stories (especially the second one) with great pacing and a few twist that first time players would never see coming.

--------------------
Congratulations you two! I wish you the best of luck on this job.

--------------------
I would like to request "New Messiah" from Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge on the Gameboy

MIDI
Youtube

I would appreciate it if you tried to use the stock SMW instruments plus whatever advance ASDR tricks you can to make it sorta resemble the "Castlevania the Adventure Rebirth" version of itself.

The "Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth" Version of New Messiah as an additional reference

--------------------
You have truly outdone yourself Ladiesman. All the music in this monster of a mega-pack is well done and on point! #smrpg{y}

--------------------
What you're working on seems interesting to say the least. The thing that really caught my attention in this thread is the fact that we both have Richter Belmont as our avatars!

--------------------
I know you probably heard me say this on discord but all the work you have put into October Ordeal is impressive so far, there's really not much I can say.

Hey there SMWC. It's been a while, hasn't it? I am most posting my SMBX project here in hopes of getting more people interested in it.

It's been some time since I was last active in making levels in SMBX
(If anyone is wondering about TSRP-X, it is currently on Hiatus until both MAGLX3 and SLAM are done due to both projects attracting more interest and talent, if anyone is wondering yes we would like to have more people join the TSRP-X devteam but we haven't had any luck attracting talent or interest)
.

This Project is something I have been working on since early March and what inspired it was twofold; I have recently turned thirty this year and I have been in the midst of rediscovering myself and reflecting back on my origins and original inspirations. I have been involving in creating and modding video games for at least sixteen years of my entire life and in that time I have been with many creative communities and have seen them grow and change over time. As of late I have been feeling nostalgic for the SMW Hacking scene of the late aughts since I was part of that scene.

The Ambition era (2008-2015) of SMW Hacking was an amazing time to be in the scene.
(insert long nostalgic rant regarding early SMW Hacking)
.....Back then I followed many interesting and ambitious SMW hacks from that era; many of which never saw completion and my goal with this SMBX episode is to recapture the very things I liked about the Ambition Era of SMW Hacking in a playable episode and somehow bring the magic back as it were. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll inspire a few people among the way!

I was kinda on the fence about posting at C3 since I have not gotten much done since I released the "0.8 Prayer" demo of Super Mario Zeal but I thought about it further and why not? It would get people on SMWC who have not yet heard about Super Mario Zeal a chance to take a look at it and I would further benefit from new people trying the demo out and critiquing it.

The one screenshot down below and the videos show that I haven't been idle while working on this.

King Bowser has team up with King Wart and King K. Rool in a new alliance known simply as "The Rotten Regents". Together these Kingly Konquerers have stolen and scattered the power stars for their own (as of yet unknown) diabolical ends. It it now up to Mario and his friends to recollect the scattered Powers Stars, discover what the Rotten Regents are up and put a end to their sinister scheme!

A section near the end of World 2's first level

..and a section out of the hub world's second level

-0.8 "Prayer" Changelog-
*fixed a minor OW pathing error where completing "Conifer Crest" would accidentally give you access to "Midnight Memories"
*Updated all Goal Posts to use Mr.DoubleA's improved SMW Goal Post
*Drastically overhauled the Hub Worldmap to be more in line with my intended vision for it
*1-3 Now has a secret exit to access Mint Isle Village
*All Pine trees in world 1 and 2 maps are now the same as the ones on the Hub Worldmap for consistency's sake

Click here to download the current Demo (0.8 "Prayer")

Also, you'll need SMBX2 Beta 4 to play this demo, I urge you click here to get it

SMW but Mario has his infamous SMB1 Physics

--------------------
I think the rips are fine so far but I'll let you in on a little secret: I prefer the BG editor snapshots instead of the ingame snapshots, I kind of have a thing of hoarding BG editor snapshots of graphic rips but I do practice due diligence and insure that the resulting PNG files have the name of the game, the area and the ripper in the filename. Why do you ask? because I see cool Backgrounds that might be useful in a future SMBX level and I find the ingame snapshots frustrating because of Mario and/or the map16 cutting off the BG, nevermind the fact that the rest of the BG is cut off in the ingame screenshots.

--------------------
This is one that takes place in the Megaman-verse
X, Zero and the Maverick Hunter's HQ (including all the Maverick) is ISOTed/displaced backwards in time to the Classic Era. In the aftermath Zero decides to finally to go and confront Dr. Wily. Let's just say that the good doctor now has to deal with his legendary, Maverick hunting android son's own daddy issues. Ideally the Genre would be Comedy and Scifi in this case.

--------------------
Thank you everyone, for taking the time to visit my C3 thread. I might have a screenshot or two to throw your way soon

EDIT: Check the OP, there's a couple of section maps from a pair of levels I completed recently.

--------------------
Thank you. There's really not much I can say here.

--------------------
Can I convince you to draw Richter Belmont doing this pose from the SNES Dracula X offical art?

--------------------
I am strongly of the opinion that StrikeForcer's own October Ordeal Thread is deserving of nomination. I have been following this hack ever since I joined Hunter's discord server and the work Strikeforcer has put into this hack is truly impressive, especially with the art direction and overall darker tone to the hack.
