E.T. may be called the worst game ever, but Atari's insane decisions is one of the reasons what crashed the industry in '83. They thought that making a poorly assembled game in a few weeks with a popular movie's name slapped on it would sell millions. AFAIK they made 12 million cartridges, hoping the game would be a system-seller for the Atari 2600.

E.T. was actually a pretty decent game for Atari standards. Pac-Man (for the Atari 2600) on the other hand...

Yep, that's right, I live in Vojvodina (in a village near Subotica, to be exact). Also there are approx. 290000 Hungarian people living in various parts of Vojvodina, me included.

It looks like my level isn't that creative either, but at least I submitted something. This is the first contest for me by the way, so I may get better next time.

EDIT: As a plus, I added the level to the overworld (in the place of YI1) so you can play it if you want to. It's pretty short though, about 6 or 7 screens long.

The Gameboy Advance version of SMW actually allows scrolling the screen vertically like that (using L+Up or Down), but it's there because the GBA screen resolution is much smaller than on the SNES.

I actally expected my entry to be in the middle section, so 24th is pretty good for me. Congrats to the winners!

By the way, SNN gave me an almost perfect score out of 40, or there's a typo there?

I only use the spin jump when needed, as I usually rest my thumb on the Y and B buttons' equivalents on my controller while playing.

In my case, the first SMW hacks I played are Super Demo World: The Legend Continues, the Super Mario Odyssey demo, and Panic in the Mushroom Kingdom. However the first rom hack ever I played and remember beating was Mario Adventure (for SMB3).

Vanilla standard sprite DF (Shell that doesn't change color after special world) might be what you need. Have a green or red shelless koopa climb into it and it turns into a green paratroopa, that's what you meant, right?

Message editing in the Japanese ROM is not supported in LM, as far as I know. You can import the Japanese font into the english ROM, though.

1. Open the Japanese ROM in LM, click the red mushroom to extract its graphics.
2. Open the English ROM and click the green mushroom to insert the graphics.
