I apologize if this is the wrong forum for Patch requests and i would ask if a mod could direct me to the proper forum for such things for the future. It is just currently this is the forum that makes the most sense

In the mean time however I am wanting to get a patch that makes it so the Yellow and Green switch blocks do not give items. I'm really picky about Power ups, and would like to avoid giving free mushrooms and feathers just because they hit a switch. to add to it. Feathers are well known for breaking games.

So if anyone can make a patch disables the switch block form giving items i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.
I actually have no clue how to do that.

EDIT: Or more so i need to know how to make them stay acting like 130. And I need to know how to save & load them as extended objects.
see I go on youtube and people have to do all this extra crap that just confuses me. You can explain it EASILY.

Now I have to ask if it would carry over to other levels or if I have to redo the same steps for each level?




EDIT: Okay i went and did that, saved, it carried over to the next level. however after i closed and opened... they did not save as 130 but went back to their original formatting.
AKA 16B became 16B again instead of remaining as 130
the thing is pissing me off. Now they won;t even stay as 130 after i save them as 130. As soon as I go to the next block the first reverts back to 16A or 16B (depending on which block it is)

Aside form me not saving properly earlier, it was working. now its not.

EDIT2: I must thank you guys for your help. My First level is complete and aside from some minor flaws (Like feeling empty) It's pretty good. (IMO)
Okay in Ghost house 1 (The one right underneath "Top Secret Area") if you put big boo in it, he acts as the secret Exit. is there a way to make him the Main exit? (I am planning to put a big boo boss in every ghost house.)
what do you mean use a different level? I'm not editing the overworld. Each level will be in the same position they are in the original game. I am just editing the levels themselves.

when i go to boss sequence though it only gives me 9 options. the 7 koopa kids, the two Bowser exits and the earthquake.

and yes i am using an older version of LM. I think back form 2008
will it delete my hack thus far? (and all the custom blocks i have made and such?)
I guess i can make a backup but if it won;t be compatible I don't want to have to start from scratch again. The only benefit is that I will have done it already but still its time consuming.
I dunno What blocks i used. I was just making custom blocks in Map16.

I am test playing each level as i make it and making fixes. Aside from cutoff (Which is annoying but limited to my skills unfixable) everything is working. (Well the levels also feel a little empty.)

Still its world 1. I plan on making the castle a will jumper Get the ball rolling and really get the game moving. (First few levels are me honing my skills.)
How do you make a level vertical? I know a few stags that are (Bowser room 6. Sunken ship, Star world 1) but how do you make them vertical?
Wrong one but i managed to figure out. Mario head allows vertical scroll.

Another question is levels like Larry's Castle. The Used block segway, how to do you influence the path?

considering i don;t know hex i guess I'll have to use dissassembly. (But since i want this to be vanilla. I may just refrain form using it.)
Am i able to make a bock that allows you to pass down it but prevents you form going back up (Like a reverse cloud) and if so, what is teh number? I am currently working on one level and i am wanting reverse clouds.

Okay figured it out and it is working how i wanted it to.
Okay first off since i have so many questions, instead of new thread every other day I am just going to update this one form now on.

My current question is having to do with BG graphic errors. In a couple of my levels I get a really faulty BG after exiting a pipe. Is there a way to fix this?

the diagram doesn't really help as i have no clue what it is saying. Plus i have vertical scroll at will on.
Okay i am working on one level right now, and although all the screen entrances are working, one of the ones i enter onto focses the view way above where mario stars, thus killing him instantly. How do I fix it so I focus on mario?
