I would not do that unless you've diluted it with water.

Why would you dilute it in water?

I'm not a chemist, but water is bad for electronics and the point of using isopropanol is it's used in polishing and it evaporates quickly, lifting many stains and contaminants from a surface.

I'm so glad this is going ahead now. Someone had to do it.

Hey, potentially really silly question, but I was working on a level for VLDC11 called "Mint-Berry Crunch", but after developing the visual formulae I made a level design that sucked and I ran out of time trying to make it better.

Would you have any desire to use the look of it for something somewhere? Not as a "level" parse say, but anything else?

I'll see where I can fit it in the collab (and if anybody else makes this sort of request)

Is there any potential for unfinished VLDC11 submissions being used in some way at this point?

Hello Samantha. I read the chat and see that you were in a conversation that quickly turned uncomfortable for reasons I don't blame you for.

They were denounced for it, and you went on to cuss them out as well.

How would you like things to have been handled differently?

Update with the quarantine beard.

It's been a long time since this post. Time passes quickly when you stop looking at the clock.

Great progress!

How about expanding the OW and submaps so they're larger, or there's more of them?

I wonder if a specific level room could be changed into a map, with events and paths working exactly as the normal maps from the player's POV, but potentially this could make it easier to add things like custom teleport blocks, level ASM and sprites.

Happy birthday  bebn legg! n_n

I do not where to ask this but what do you guys use as a video recording setup to dump SNES videos? And what advice can you give me to help to create, edit and make good SNES videos?

OBS. Whether you're using a capture device for real hardware, or emulating, OBS is your friend.

I record at the upload resolution, but it would be best to record at a lower resolution and upscale without interpolation if you're having capture performance issues. I don't have a good method for that kind of upscaling however.

Something I really wanted to know too... Everyone uses OBS (and so do I), but last time I tried to upload a video to YouTube recorded in that it became pretty choppy. Even the audio is bad somehow, lol

I hear the problem in that. Did you use your sound output as a microphone in software, or a physical cable?

When doing the sound, I make the system volume 50%. Try investigating your sound settings too.

If you're dropping frames, I recommend using no compression if you're recording at such a low resolution anyway. Your storage device might be struggling too. Do you write videos to the same drive as your system? Do you have an SSD to use?

I've been advised to try to record in minimal resolution (256x224) and upscale it after with a video editor, but I haven't had the chance to try that out yet.

I'd like to learn about that. Upscaling with zero interpolation so the pixels look really sharp.

You could record something small and then process it at 4320p60 to minimise YouTube compression.

This is great.
