Tip: By pressing Shift while placing event tiles, they will be made "silent" and will not appear until a map transition happens. Always use silent event tiles to draw paths in other maps (i.e. a Vanilla Dome event while the player is on the main map), or glitchy tiles may appear.

When I was on there it was empty.. I dont see anything happening with it until we get a group of lurkers that stay there 24/7. I'd do that, but It'd have to wait til tuesday.
Which version is better for modelling anyways? I use Sketchup Pro 2014.. but is Sketchup 8 better?

Also, when I model my levels and import them, they show up as a garbled mess. The level looks fine though when in sketchup..
I bet this has been posted plenty of times, but...

When I do my stuff in TT64, and test the level, I die immediately. If I enable Death floor, then it warps me ito the level under it and i fall to the death floor and warp out dead. What's causing this?

(Yes my warp in is placed properly)

Does it only do so in toads tool? If so, use the new version 0.6.2s by skelux of toads tool. If it looks like that even in game, use a different .obj exporter plugin or use the built in depending on what you have / use already.

Everything I'm using is I'm using 6.2S..and Objimporter 1.9.1S. It shows up like that in tt64, and in the importer.

However I'll probably need to use Sketchup 8 because I think it's the triangulation that's causing the problem, given the plugin isnt compatible for 2014.

What level did you import over? The castle outside has hardcoded warp settings, so you need to set the X Y Z coordinate int he importer when mporting. Just mark off the coordinates from toads tool of your warp and fill them in the importer.

Should I set the rom to start in the level, or not, because that seems to make my rom freeze. The new importer doesnt seem to have the skip intro sequences.
My level has been imported and the deathfloor isnt killing me. I just need to know, why are my textures being stretched, even though they show up fine in sketchup?
Well i aint dying in my new level, so I guess I'll just work on it from here. However is there any specific reason why my textures are being stretched?

Alright. And another thing, this my be my failure on the part of collision, but the collision for the level is making an invisible wall on part of the level, and other parts you're able to fall/jump off it.

Don't you think that Sketchup 8 Pro would be better than Sketchup 7? There is a torrent of Sketchup 8 i got on tpb, it comes with a keygen so it is a full crack with license.

Sketch Up Make 2014 is free and has everything Sketchup Pro 8 has and more, you don't really need a torrent if you're only using it for Level design. But if you do 3D printing you might want the paid version, but there's plug-ins.

But Sketchup 8 is used because you need a good compatible triangulate plugin. 2014 doesnt hav one.

Actually it was administrators. But it was stuff to do with User 1, or, Kearu, as well as Arbe and a few others. They used cookies to get into an admin account (SNNs?) and make the others admin.

Ah, I remember my old community at SMBXtreme. It's a shame how the original died and such.

I am bumping this topic though (Apologies) as if anyone is interested, I am trying to get the community back together again. I've reopened the forums, and this time under a paid host.

Here you go, no one is required to join, but I would love to see the familiar faces there that were on the original forums.

The staff team is a bit different, and ErikMouse is the server host, so much thanks to him. I was hoping we could restart the community project after the url is switched over to, and the forums will be moved to a /forums/ directory. XNBlank, XerX, or just Blank to some, one of my global moderators.. has also started a Mario Sunshine engine and is hosting it over there as well.
