Thanks! I'm familiar with the fact that only the junior year PSAT is the one that counts, but my school made it a requirement for sophomores to take the test. This is actually a pretty good idea since it gives younger students a taste of the actual SAT and better preparation for the Scholarship.

@RPG Hacker: When I was 13/14, after reading some internet articles, I found out that tuition in Germany is little to none, and I was thus fascinated by the idea of studying in Germany. However, my parents probably wouldn't want me to be that far away from them, and I don't think I'd feel very comfortable being in a foreign country by myself anyway, especially at such a young age (I would still love to travel more when I'm older, but not in only 2 years from now). One thing I really don't understand is how tuition in the US is so expensive. I guarantee you that minimal tuition would encourage a lot more people to go to college (either right after high school or at a later time).

This would be a very difficult and emotionally painful situation for me to deal with. If I knew they were terminally ill, and they were clearly suffering, then I would, although reluctantly, end their life if it meant that their pain and suffering was over. Otherwise, I would try to find all sorts of cures and treatments for their illness. I would do as much as I can to keep a loved one alive.

I can't believe I'm going to college in only a year and a half from now. I'm pretty excited about it, but I still don't even know where to go. I'd like to go to a university and live in a dorm, but I'm worried about the tuition even though my parents said they'd be willing to pay it off with loans. I just don't know whether to stay in state or not. I think I'd feel more comfortable being closer to my parents (within driving distance) as I'll only be 19 and barely out of high school with little experience being independent from them.

On the other hand, I'm getting letters from Princeton and Yale saying I'd be a good candidate for their schools (I'm skeptical about it but it's probably because I got a 1400 on the PSAT last October and I'm taking the SAT in May). My parents would love to see me go to such great schools, but I'm overwhelmed with all the college letters I've been getting.

I don't really know about community college. Maybe it would be a better option for me, but I'm still trying to decide where I should go. I'll make up my mind eventually, especially during the summer, where I'll actually have time to visit some schools.

I was gonna celebrate with a shamrock shake from McDonald’s, but the one I went to didn’t have it for some reason. What a disappointment. #tb{¬_¬}

I was born in 2001 myself. I honestly can't believe I'm turning 18 in July, considering I've been on this site since I was 10. It feels like it was yesterday.

I’m still one of the babies of the site lol #w{=3}

I remember watching YouTube videos showcasing various SMW hacks, and that’s what got me interested. I eventually discovered SMWC and made my first account when I was 10 back in early 2012. If you look at those posts, you’ll see how foolish I was back then. I even got banned for being so idiotic, but I was still just as stupid when I made this account a few months later. It’s just so amazing to see how much I’ve grown over the years. I never thought I’d be here for over 7 years. I’m surprised I didn’t get banned for making another account to evade that ban on my old account.

However, I’m a little disappointed that I haven’t really been active recently, especially with actual SMW hacking-related stuff. I really hope I’ll have more free time over the summer to participate in a contest or something like that.

Also, I just have to say congrats to people like Golden Yoshi who’ve been hacking since I was in a crib wearing diapers. Keeping a hobby for so many years must be a great feat.

I’m pretty sure it was under the same IP address because I made both accounts at the same location using the same computer. I guess I just got really lucky. It’s actually a blessing that I didn’t get banned because I believe being on SMWC for all this time has allowed me to mature greatly.

I’m gonna be a senior in high school soon so I’m gonna be busy with AP classes and college applications. I’m also getting my driver’s license after I turn 18 and possibly a job. I feel that after the summer, I’m really gonna shift into high gear. When I was younger, I had a lot more free time to hack because school (and really life in general) wasn’t so demanding.

Wow! And I thought I was the only one! At least your old posts were much more coherent than mine.

Not bad, but the teeth kinda ruin it for me. 6/10.

I hope this avatar doesn't get nuked

Edit:
@devlin_76: That’s actually not Daisy! That’s Princess Toadstool (Princess Peach from the Mario cartoons). I get it though. The red hair makes her look like Daisy.

It’s such a shame that all the level design contests are much later in the year. I was really hoping for one in June or July since I’d out of school for the summer.
I’m looking forward to this year’s KLDC though #w{>=)}

Also, I believe one of the holiday contests should be replaced with an OLDC. It seems unnecessary to have both a Halloween AND a Christmas contest in the same year unless that’s actually what everyone wants.

I don't really like the idea of smashing it down into a week's time just to squeeze it into the end of the year schedule at the last minute. Besides, if it doesn't make the holiday season, there's nothing saying it can't make it during the February time slot instead. That's the thing--we haven't planned 2020 dates at all yet, just ideas about what we want to host. So given the choice of putting OLDC for a week in December and putting it in February for a month, I'd go with February so we don't have to rush people and cram the schedule.

Yeah I can agree with that. Honestly, one week isn’t really enough time imo, even if OLDC levels are simpler than chocolate levels. The 2017 OLDC had nearly 80 entries iirc, and I believe 2 weeks were given to submit entries, so a later deadline would give more people the opportunity to join the contest to work around their schedules. I’d keep it at about 2-3 weeks though. A month seems a bit too long. Then again, idk if the judges are willing to put up with 80+ entries.

I’m still glad to see many level design contests this year. Hopefully we can have an OLDC next year though. I mean we can wait. It’s not a necessity.

That’s a really cute Pichu. I like his little headband too. 9/10.

Edit: I didn’t realize this was a random avatar, but the other Pokémon are pretty cool too!
