Hello there,users of the internet. I have a story I want to share with you.
The Story
One thing I love about game is the beta and early ideas. I love seeing or hearing about all the strange ideas they took away from games like Batman Arkham Asylum was almost a rhythm game.. yeah. One day, a old friend of my claimed that he had a beta ROM of Super Mario Bros. The Super Mario Bros for the NES. When I did not believe that he had the beta copy of Super Mario Bros, but I decided to see if he had the beta ROM since I was board that day. (I will call my friend Joe.) After waiting some day for joe to send me the ROM, I finally got to play the ROM and was very disappointed. There was no difference,just Super Mario Bros. At least that what I thought.
Super Mario Bros' BETA Content
When I restarted the game to make sure that there was nothing I miss.(I really wanted to see some BETA Content.) I heard this werid low pitch 1-up sound when the level loaded up. I look at my lives and they were the same.I look around the level until I find a strange pipe.
It seems like it was ether oil coming out of the pipe or some other dark liquid. I thought to myself," Could this be BETA content. I decided to see if I could go inside the pipe. Mario was able to go into the pipe. The sublevel for this pipe had a red background. Also the music that played was an slowed down distorted version of the 8-bit Mario Bros theme. It was a small sub level with one flying koopa that goes up and down.
At the end of the Sub level I find a strange purple pipe that..well lets say that it a whole different game once I enter the pipe.
