Delete that star tile, and take the one with the exit you want, then put it there.

If it's not the right graphic (eg. You want a star but it's a pipe) open notepad and click the tile, then click the pipe button at the top. Write the numbers in notepad, and place the graphical tile you want where you want it, remove the other one, and put the exits in like you want them.

Of course, you can always just re-write all the star road and pipe exits in the game.

Also, for your other problem, just make it impossible for Luigi to die, or force the game to be 2 player. Or take out the Luigi blocks and make it a pow switch block or star block or something.

As of today I have two automatic levels. But, neither of them are going to be uploaded to Youtube; rather, I will distribute them here, for people who aren't noobs to watch and for people who aren't noobs to not upload to youtube. I'll upload them to a file hosting server soon.

They aren't video files, they're .mwl files. If you don't know how to use 'em, your loss.

EDIT: Er, I guess I need it in a .smc format. Hehe, forgot that .mwl doesn't take the Map16 data with it... or maybe I could include a Map16 file with the .mwl...
