Tip: Try playing around with the Horizontal Level Settings in Lunar Magic. You can create some uniquely-designed levels unlike anything seen in the original Super Mario World.

Did you overwrite the first two map16 pages?
I spun my drink bottle (one of those with a popping top) and water splattered in the class room. I couldn't believe that I got away with it too!
Yep! Thought so.
Only use the Map16 pages that are blank.
Looks like Vista causes more problems than it creates...
Just keep trying other settings. The first on the list is the default, though.
I hope that Yoshi's mountain house isn't level 104, since you're not supposed to edit that.
If it clears things, up, then ExGFX doesn't appear by itself.
Do you mean the unrevealed paths?
Lol, moar liek not myspace.
And if you use levels with two exits, you can have over 100 exits, easy.
Why hasn't anyone asked questions yet? (not including me, lol)
Split paths? Good idea, not many hacks have that.

If you got a patch of grass and cut a cross-section slice out of it, it wouldn't look like that. Maybe make the top of the ground that nice green colour, but make the rest of it brownish like FG pallete 1 in the original game.
...A forum section to add rising lava?
This is my first "real" hack.

Story - Bowser got sick and tired of always losing to the Mario brothers, so he decided not to try to attack them head on, but be a little more cunning...

Mario was snoring off in his house when Luigi came and woke him up. Luigi had been out on his early morning fishing session, and he caught a message in a bottle from Yoshi. The message was dated a week ago and was short and slightly illegible. "Mario and Luigi! Pleas-, you must help us. Bo-s-r and his offspring discovered our native Hea--land and he and his army invaded. Most Yoshis are now dead, or m-ssing. You are our last hope. Please, you --ve to come. There is a map on the other side."

Always ones to lend a helping hand, our heroes packed their bags, brushed their teeth and swam off, following the map. Unfortunately, Mario hadn't accounted for paper's inability to keep in water, so the map turned into a soggy pulp in the mouth of a passing cheep-cheep. When the Mario brothers alighted on Yoshi Peninsula, they discovered - to their horror - that the map was gone. Due to this one blunder, the Mario bros. would be stuck in foreign lands for quite a while.

With nothing else to do, the Mario brothers went to Yoshi's house to regain their sense of direction and then save all the yoshis. Thus, the epic quest was started!!

I'm hoping to make a sequel eventually.
This hack will have ExGFX for most things, probably custom blocks with Block tool, a low chance of having custom sprites but no new music.(Big deal)
Finally, the screenies...

The first submap, with all the paths revealed.

The first level, with my own ExGFX. Also, did you notice the flowers near Mario? I'll do backgrounds eventually, btw.

Take the throw block...

And sprout the vine!

The vine leads to a powerup, but take a shell from a koopa located nearby.

Where is the final Yoshi coin?

Up here!

Further on, you kill the lakitu with a bob-omb...

Take the cloud and fly to a pipe taking you here. Hey, is that a secret block?

Yoshi grounds, the second level. The ExGFX from the first level works with this palette, which is nice.

If you have Yoshi with you, you can get to that platform. Unfortunately, Yoshi is hard to find...

Grab that shell, Mario.

You'll need it for this.

Climbing up the vine yields coins.

Yeah, it's a good idea to follow these coins.

The grass green switch palace hides more than the switch...

Another screen of Yoshi grounds.

The palace itself. I thought of the diamond design myself, so DON'T say I stole it from Pieguy.

The victory screen for World 1.

The OW area just outside Yoshi Peninsula.

Going a litte way north...

Then east a bit.

These hills are to the south-east of the previous area

Finally, the forest on the bottom-right corner of the map.

Yellowstone Cliff, the first level in Yellowstone rocks.

Don't use that switch!

Use it here.

Or here...

It was a long climb, but Mario has reached the top of Yellowstone cliff.

Yellowstone heights. This level is special. To find out why, play the level another time after you finish it.

Yellowstone pass.

Beware of chance blocks.

Some of these aren't solid. Careful!

My bridge graphics, that I made myself. Another part of Yellowstone pass.

Cliff yellow switch. Somewhat mazelike.

Well, there you have it. Discuss, offer feedback, and add your suggestions.

Edit: Also, thread id 3000.
