Noted.
The springboard thing is just annoying?
Okay. I'll try to do it less outside the first couple levels.
Originally posted by PixelsThat's probably it, and I suggest either replace the springboard jumps (best option) or put them higher up. (i mean, if you really want to keep them...)
I guess I could replace them. Trouble is, what do I replace them with?
More Koopas would just make that section a boring slog.
Originally posted by PixelsSo it's supposed to be impossible then?
*slow clap*
It's not supposed to be impossible.
You just have to avoid falling in the pits.
Running over the one-tile gaps works.
So does jumping, hitting a block, and landing on the next platform.
The P-Switch is for the Kaizo Trap at the very end.
Originally posted by PixelsWell then it's impossible to get that secret exit.
Actually, no. It's not.
You have to
hit a couple invisible coin blocks to make a bridge which you can travel across to the music blocks.
Remember that it's an optional secret exit, and you don't have to take it.
Originally posted by Pixelsboringness and impossibilities take up most of your hack.
Boringness?

How can I make it less boring, then?
Originally posted by PixelsYeah, but if I eat the koopa troopas that fall (which is possible), I get two powerups.
I didn't think it was possible to eat the koopa troopas, which was why I put the flower there.
Now that I know it's not needed, I'll remove the flower in the next update.
Originally posted by PixelsThe thing is, there's not too much focus on it in this level (unlike the entire hack ffs).
That is actually true. I'll lessen springboard use outside that level.
Originally posted by PixelsYou did not make an original level, that was actually an edit.
So you're saying I made a blatant edit?
It doesn't look like one to me.
What makes you say it's a blatant edit?
So, let me get this straight.
Originally posted by PixelsThe thing is, you shouldn't be trying to annoy the player, you should be trying to make a hard game.
True, true.
Originally posted by ArchiePixels is right. You shouldn't only focus on springboards, you should also focus on other things, and in a creative way.
True, but the gimmick for the second level is springboards.
Originally posted by ArchieBesides, the whole level isn't any interesting at all.
Okay, and how do I make it more interesting exactly?
Originally posted by ArchieAlso, by the looks of some levels, look like you didn't test this hack properly.
Well, there aren't many Kaizo testers and most of them are inactive, so it's not easy to get it tested.
Originally posted by ArchieThe fourth level is not possible, even if you bring a powerup there, because of some parts, mostly the Chuck one, unless you use a cheat code there, which shouldn't be required anywhere in your hack.
I agree that cheat codes should not be required, so I will try to fix those parts that have issues.
Please post screenshots of the issues so that I know exactly what to fix.
Originally posted by ArchieI suggest redoing the levels, because they're not interesting right now. Just a friendly advice so you can become a Kaizo master.
Thanks for that piece of advice, but how exactly do I do that?
They look fine to me, and I want to save my creativity for later in the hack when it's needed most.
Originally posted by Daizo Dee VonYou can't put that there just to annoy the player.
Why can't I do that?
Originally posted by Daizo Dee VonPlus, I asked you to restart the hack, not try to "fix it".
Right. You told me to "restart the hack with inspiration" without really explaining why the hack was bad or how to make it better.
I appreciate your effort, but this is actually going pretty well.
For my first ever hack, that is.
Originally posted by Daizo Dee VonOf course, I'm not one of those people who hates others, so I'll give you a little tip: a Kaizo hack is NOT all about difficult persision jumps and making the hardest (or in your case, the cheapest) tricks.
Right. Wait...
Originally posted by Pixelsyou should be trying to make a hard game.
Difficult precision jumps and hard tricks make it a hard game.
Therefore, I'm sorta doing that already, aren't I?
Originally posted by Daizo Dee VonIt's all about making the most original Kaizo Hack, while still keeping it fun at the same time.
I have played many Kaizo hacks.
They were not fun. They were evil, horrible, annoying things.
They were so difficult and enraging, but I kept trying.
My point is, Kaizo hacks have insane difficulty.
Insane difficulty is not fun.
Originality is good, but that's not easy.
Besides, I'm trying to save all my creative ideas for other levels, when I'm out of regular ideas.
For example, the first level of World V will be
about chasing a shell. That's not very common, now is it?
