The regular ground (those used in grass levels and so on) tiles do not work with the switch palace tileset. The proper objects are located in Tileset Specific Objects (under #lm{objects}). There will be objects that have switch palace beside them in brackets. Use those.

I've finished the overworld. Finally.

Looks nice. I don't really like the horizon, though. I've always found it to look strange perspective wise, but I dunno that may just only be me.

I'm also beginning the third to last level.

It's nowere near finished. I'm glad I'm also nearly finished this project
because I'm really running low on ideas....

The gradient isn't the smoothest, but other than that, it looks good.

idk I'm not American yea but happy 4th of July for those who are
You could create an ExGFX of the grassland tileset and copy and paste the switch graphics there. The only problem is that it will use op some tiles used by slopes and stuff. If you really want to use the yellow switch you would probably have to remap the switch object using the Map16 editor (#lm{16x}). Sorry if this isn't too clear, I don't know how to explain it any better.

Then why is it named the later?

The hack I played there wasn't that promising either tbh.
idk So I'm gonna request something
I dunno how possible this should be, but anyways...

Mockup thingy

Mod edit: Fixed table stretch.
Looks interesting. The only thing I don't like is the transparency, it doesn't make any sense at all.

Just an small level. It's also my first level in my hack. There is also a secret exit but you can't reach it unless you can spin jump (see "Awesome Hacking Ideas").

tbh It's kinda really flat. Also, the enemy placement could be better. I feel as if some may be useless, like the sliding koopa in the begining. Also what's with those linked pipes near the end? I can't see any reason for them to be there.

I'm assuming you using Window 8, right?

Sadly, yes.

haha jk. I love the new features, like Explorer crashing every hour, and a refusal to boot 50% of the time. It's Windows ME for the next generation!

yea but no, I hate it. I don't know about others, but it's unstable as fuck for me.

idk It does somewhat remind me of MGU2. Can't say much about the level design, other than some onjects/sprites look randomly placed without much consideration (like the munchers in that forest level). The graphics are kinda clashy, but that's not much an issue.
0/10 Green is an uninspiring colour

It's quite nice. The text is not hard to read, unlike alot of layouts I've seen. It's not cluttered at all. Nothing is terribly unfitting either

e: fuck you removed it right after I post this smh

e2: wait nevermind it might be my browser being basic idk

You can just install DirectX 9 alongside 11. The two don't conflict.

Really? But then, how does Snes9x know which one to use? For that matter, how would any of my programs know which one to use?

I'm not 100% sure, but application that uses directX is designed for one specific version. I don't know much about DirectX, so anyone else correct me if I'm wrong. I run them alongside each other and I haven't ran into any issues. But then again, I'm not that much of a PC gamer.

I'd suggest you do some reseach about it.

e: The two versions use seperate libaries stored in seperate locations. There shouldn't be any issues at all.

That's not always true, though. If they said the video game was only recommended for people that are aged 18 and has the symbol that indicates that, then why did that 13 year old boy played it, then? Some video games are a source of violence, yes, but the fault belongs to the people who decided to turn into a psychopath after playing them.

lmao Great example of why sarcasm doesn't transfer well into text.
no but the usage of amirite should gave it away

The problem here is the kid. I mean, he's already a father at 13. Who knows what kind of life he lives idk

There is nothing interesting in hack of cookie-cutter levels. If you're too lazy to put in any effort into your hacks then what is even the point of making a hack? Don't expect positive from this, and don't expect your hack to accepted either. You also shouldn't ignore the advice of others. They only want to help out. It's not their job to give feedback fyi.

Don't be discouraged by this. If you choose to ignore this, whatever. But don't think you'll get anywhere by "being too lazy" to produce quality projects.
Well, looks like another incident just happened today

Anyways, I'm all for the captcha thing, as long as it stays on the registration page. The only issue is if the spambot somehow bypasses, like what happened at the Talkhaus not too long ago.

nice. My only complaint here would be the BG. The sand on it looks more like a wall then anything. Design wise it seems pretty interesting.

Yea, what Egadd said. The walls look boring. Looka like it will be an interesting level
