The bathhouse bg looks like it was made for some additional hdma effects. Does it use anything in the original game?

The ability capsule seems pretty useful for puzzle levels and it's always nice to have more choconilla sprites like the smb2 ones.

Snakebone masion is very simple but somehow I love it because of the jazzy feel.
I only know this game because I already used one song in a level before (the girl who stole the star) but I didn't know there were so many bangers in the game.

Anyway this is pretty cool.
Not anything I would use though, because it is kind of mean to players who just use the emulator because they don't know any better.
Alcaro's patch is a better way of alerting the user about the flaws of zsnes.
But this might still be interesting to look at and might have some different usage.

Your update is very appreciated.
I saw your cldc level preview in the discord and was amazed by the layer 3 effect, so I'm very stoked to see it made public.
I can also see some funny applications using the shatter effect.

A suggestion from my end would be some kind of lense flair or sun light effect.

Nice to see this is still going strong.
I did a play test for 2 worlds this like 2 years ago and besides a few level design things and asm errors it was already a pretty fine game.
Now that you are updating it, it seems to be even better so great job!
