The ROM seems to be broke, the title screen is still all right, following the star-warsesque intro-story it goes black. Fatal error in level layout data I suppose, as only the classic SMW-sound I can hear (critically low time remaining countdown) preceded by custom music. (when the ips gets applied to a smc ROM of a purchased original Super Mario World (US) (!) ROM cartridge with header on, making the file size 513 Kilobytes overall), on all emulators I have attempted to run this hack on.
Currently, strange as it is, it does operate flawlessly in the above mentioned schyzophrenic emulator so far (the only emu which I could get this hack working). It gets past the intro story correctly, for some reason. Maybe my emulator personally is flawed, or some setting which did not coincide (just downloaded ZMZ and it is "pristine", unmodified) so I am scratching my head trying to unveil this mystery...

Update: extensive plot

Mario wakes up in an unknown, foreign, yet so familiar
place. Brainwashed, amnesiac, no recognition of how he got there.
He then notices a yoshi-like creature nearby, petrified,
with blank eyes, standing there helpless, shaking his head in disbelief, as if the
communicative ability was vacuumed out of him. 
Covering his eyes  against the summer Sun he peers into the distance, detecting
familiar structures, everwinter territory,
as well as a rather absurd, foreign one. The landscape is uknown to him, although
 he suspects to be still someplace on Earth. 

What strikes his eyes immediately is an artificial flat peninsula, 
with mechanical circuits running all across the motherboard. Creepy,
 yet amazing and spectacular- he thinks.  He wonders whether an evil
 or good lurks there, and whether further information the beings there would supply.

When he tries to ask the purple yoshi creature a question to get a
 clue, no words would come out of his mouth, not a sound he can 
utter. The symphony was also stolen, and Mario must rely on his 
memory of the classic music and sound effects good old Bowser-
tail-kicking times in order not to get mad of this place without a 
single sound. The road signs, marking the name of territories and 
other factors from place to place, although still in their original
 position, he notices that the text has wholly disappeared, like a 
wizard snatching ability to communicate both verbally and nonverbally 
in the surroundings. Someone certainly does not want Mario to 
navigate his way out of this place, yet Mario manages to find a 
direction- which he hope would, like a miracle, lead him back to the
 Kingdom area.

He must take down this wicked Warlord, whoever it is, to set free
 this land, then eventually, venture back home.
"A warlord is a military commander, esp. an aggressive regional
 commander with individual autonomy." And then he sees his army
 scattered all over the place, but probably centered around the
 ultimate fortress between space and sky that he spots due to its 
enormous size.

Which is supposedly his adventum terminus, providing the return to 
Mushroom Kingdom, across a portal, or aerial transportation device
. Above the deadly desert mountains afar stretching in the distance
 is a gigantic structure fortified by an unknown spell, dark magic.
 Tower above the night skies, stretching into the vast star-filled 
cosmos. Aerial bricks keep that Palace complex in place. But who or
 what resides there who cast the spell on Mario, remains to be seen.

Thanks for the feedback, I fixed the title screen, there were indeed, a few discrepancies. The sphere you see in the middle through of large enoticeable radius is merely a trademark (of recorder). As for the forest OW, I intended it to be plain and generic with some sprinkled up graphics though (as out of the MK), but nothing too standout or outlandish, I aimed to make deep impact at the player with the farout worlds (w5 mechanical metropolis and w8 Sky base capital, the special ones). The rest is supposed to be regular adventure in a regular, mute-text world. Anyway, stay tuned for Sunday, in the meantime, I updated the thread with an extensive plot in order to give the whole hack a meaning ( the reason why things are the way they are).
Fear the sphere! It (the circle you mentioned) symbolises something concerning the plot, but I won't spoil the fun, it's a mystery to be solved!

I'm glad you like it, I hope your expectations will live up! Update: now it is also available as an official submission in the Hacks section, grab it from there!
V1.2 was visually stunning with on-the-spot variation of level Design, so I'd gladly traverse in the expanded realm of V1.3 for marvelling in the landscapes and searching for unpolished diamonds to be brightened (fixed), you can count me in!

As it stands, demo is unavailable for now mainly for AddmusicK's failure to work in the already hacked ROM (whereas it would work in my previous project and find no explanation therefore) and it is quite lame without the custom acoustic atmospheres.

Intro plot (final version)
: Mario was fixing a pipeline on MK borderlands when he heard a mysterious and harrowing call for help, a voice he could not identify but the tone he deemed to be honestly desperate and in trouble (a crackling, laggy moan!) from beyond the wilderness, brought by the wind. Due to his hero complex, he mindlessly followed his instinct of course. He made the hasty decision to investigate it and paced through the known, relatively safe lands, across the Kingdom into the uncharted territory. He should not have... As what he found he could not fathom to imagine... A force sucked him in, warped him into an alternate dimension or reality. It was a wicked trick, a trap by forces unimaginably insidious, then he knew suddenly... He was lulled by demonic ghastly alien invaders... Now he had to escape from this nocturnal, alien nocturnal badland, into the Core Realm of Shadows, and end their reign once and for all. What tribulations await him yet as he struggles his way through heights and depths, hot and cold, terrific and wonderful, dreams and nightmares, in limbo... and life and death.
