"There's a tip about using BTSD still displaying, but it's been there for so long that we should just leave it."

Not really seeing longevity as an excuse to not update something, tbh.
It has never been more confusing for newcomers and even me to identify staff members because other people have custom colors and some staff don't use custom colors. Then people try to fake their bans by changing to brown, etc. Staff and admins need 2 icons to identify them. Preferably then users can get custom colors to express a little more personality, but that's a little too much of a dream world I guess.

Unless this was a lie, it should apply here. I have not seen one member happy yet that they can't see who is staff or admin right from a forum post. Power titles need to be returned in some way (power icons seem the most ideal and creative) even if nothing else comes out of this thread.

Polls can kinda be done by just manually tallying up responses, so there's a workaround. So if they're lazy I'd prefer them to work on things we don't have a workaround for yet, such as a notification system, extra username colors, staff icons, etc.

Some people don't consider it its own genre because it can mimic other genres, but I don't know what category 8-bit music fits into, so I disagree. It's a great genre, and it's what I DJ on Caffie Radio, both because I like it and it's less copyrighted. I don't put it on my phone, but I'll pull it up on YouTube every so often, and I enjoy it. Thank you Sir Silvagunner and BrawlBRSTMs3.
We've suggested this so many times that the admins got brain tumors which led them to physically not be able to work on this. So first we need new admins. We've also suggested emails or a nice "bell" notification type system like on the top of YouTube, since the PM inbox seems kind of unfitting for notifications. But any of these things would require like database edits and stuff and who except Alcaro knows what else from there, and as I said, the current admins have brain tumors.

Almost same process of implementation for comments as it is for forum posts, and since this has been suggested even years ago and hasn't even been started on, I doubt it's happening either way.

Can you also link me to where it's "been agreed upon to be completely pointless and not worth the effort?" At least when I suggested it, Kieran responded saying he may do it someday.
While it's a nice addition, I feel like this will now encourage people to use avatars that are way bigger since they now will always fit in that space and be neatly cropped. There's no technical way to just disable avatars that are beyond x resolution?
I meant that it nicely crops the oversized avatar to fit with the correct dimensions, and includes a scrollbar. So while it starts on the top left, any of it can be seen by scrolling. So while we find it annoying, this is a handy feature for joke avatars and stuff.
Or better yet, the whole post.

It'd probably be better to just fix the bug or whatever's wrong with the code tag, since table stretch is still ugly and annoying and discouraged for that reason.
Both of these things have been requested so many times.

So many times, so many times.

lol

Still agree wholeheartedly with the notifications/followings of threads.

The points would be neat, but at the same time it's another form of popularity / level of attention someone receives, then we have the people who get jealous of that and beg for points, and then whatever rewards come out of adding up those points over x amount of time is based purely on popularity, which isn't really fair to some of the lesser popular users. Also the general consensus about this seems to be that SMWC isn't a social media site and doesn't intend to become one.
Headphones are a big thing with gaming people and I don't get why they're so overused. I basically only use them if I don't want anyone else to hear what I'm listening to or I want to block out outside noise, which isn't too often the case. Good speakers and preferably a subwoofer are the way to go for me.
Yeah I'll use a headset mic for recording, but I meant I don't use them instead of speakers for no reason when just listening to stuff, cuz I also have that problem where they hurt after a while.

But I have a laptop with crap speakers
lol does a laptop exist with good speakers? I have good speakers hooked up to the headphone out of my laptop.

I do think it's ok to have more jokey avatars, titles, signatures, and other personal details if it still follows the limitations given. One of the reasons I got in trouble was because my avatar was 150x25000, though under the limit of 100kb. I personally feel that the avatar scrollbars make dimension limitations fairly moot, since the function gets rid of any potential stretching.
Told ya.

Not sure if some proof of my above point warrants a 12-day bump on this, but if the thread that post came from actually did warrant more lenient moderation (Lightvayne's post at the end definitely implies this), it shouldn't be a problem.
