well, I know that vertex colors can't be applied on a black texture. and I know that this is most time done with a RGB effect. but how are you so sure that this is done with a vertex color? I am curious, please explain. I am here to get information anyway.

We talked it out on a thread on Rvlution.net for coloring water textures in the overworld (NSMBwii Hacking) They have some tools which color and brighten faces with the texture, you are right though, I don't know how they color black textures.

thats why I thought it was done with RGB effect. however NSMBWii is indeed different and if I remember the texture wasn't really black. so that could be done with vertex colors, but there is a good chance that they also did that with RGB effect. but I could be totally wrong on that game.

yet an idea: changing hardcoded camera's. kaze knows how to edit them so I guess he could tell you somehow.

people... Toads New Tool 64.

oh that sounds good! I like rayman, I suggest you might want to look to their models and look how they made their levels. you can learn alot from it! good luck!!!

--------------------
it looks well modelled but watch out that you don't make it a big field where you have to long jump 8 times to get anywhere :)

this is not really an engine is it? or I wouldn't call it that way. its a basis code for a mario game, Game maker is the engine.

Please don't say you got it from VGM, Everybody knows you need to rip the midi straight from the game to get the ultimate notes made by grant kirkhope himself.

do you remove your pictures after uploading? and also this link seem to look too long...

what is that level going to be?

--------------------
are you gonna tell what kind of tool you need?

--------------------
Just a tip for improvement for your tutorials.

Not everyone speaks german so you might want to put it in english. (still better then spanish though)

complexity seems okay, but please use UV mapping...

Oh, kaze.....you and your UV mapping :P

lol but yeah I will actually try to UV map something for once...wish me luck xD

I actually worry about some faces in the model, they can make the level glitch like hell.

I played it, even though your not that great modelling it was fun to play actually. however at the first house the wall jumping is a bit hard.

but mehh strangely it was fun to play.

if Donkey Kong Country 3 for the GBA use sappy music engine then it would be possible to rip the soundfont for that.

There is no 3DS emulator that is legit, except that one can only run Homebrew(totally useless).
If you know it so much then why don't you do it?

There is a 3ds emulator to download for pc just go to this website and you can download it for free, but you also need to download the bios(config file(s) which requires you to do a survey. Fuck surveys. I can't do it because of the SURVEY😓!andhttp://nintendo3dsemulator.org/download/

And for the BIOS (config files) http://nintendo3dsemulator.org/download-config/

Same thing with the link for the 3ds emulator you need the Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework to make the emulator work.

I don't want to touch your computer anymore because it most likely has a virus now. No really, you know that this is a fake emulator? you know its a virus? you know there exist 347823947389 versions of these kind of websites? you know you are linking stupid people to a virus?

so many questions, so many computers to save.... and almost no time....

Yeah, I'm stumped. I'm inclined to make cubes and geometric shapes, but that doesn't make a good level, much less a good hack. I'm surprised how people make natural terrain and complex shapes, which don't seem to have any order or logical coherence to them. The question I ask is how, how is it done?

I just can't think abstractly, and I probably never will.

Have you ever tried ripping any Nintendo model and seeing how it's done? Modelling isn't just about push/pull, work with lines more.

YESSSS someone knows it. I did that with banjo kazooie models alot.

You can however use the grab tool too change the positions of the vertices to make the model more random.
