I'm not sure if you are still doing this, but if you are, could you please make a Cactus for a desert-themed level which I am making? --------------------
|
Thanks so much! It really looks amazing! Is it okay if I request one more? I need a Candelabra, which would hang from the ceiling. Again, thank you! --------------------

I was bored, so I decided to upload a picture of my first attemp at creating a SM64 model. It's (obviously) far away from being done. I'm not really experienced with complex modeling yet, but I am training to make better levels.
This will be used in my upcoming SM64 major hack. --------------------

These pictures look really good. I like the choice of textures. But there are two (minor) things which look weird on the second picture. The windows look strange and the peach picture too. But other than that, great job! --------------------

The top left and right part of it look... odd.
The part I marked on the picture is what I mean. It looks like the texture is repeating. --------------------

Hey there, I need some help.
I am working on a small side project as of now, and I tried to import the overworld of my hack. It used the smoothen edge function and had all that fancy texture fix stuff. However, after importing it, the level was totally screwed up.
I used the export OBJ function of Google Sketchup 8. But when I tried to import it using an OBJ plugin I found on the internet it worked, but the level can't be smoothened with that plugin, so I have to find a way to fix the OBJ file.
I used Skelux's newest level importer.
If anybody has a way to fix it, please tell me! --------------------

The level geometry works now, but some custom textures aren't working. (They are replaced by HMC textures) These textures are from the Mario Party 64 rips on this forum. Why aren't they working? --------------------

What texture format are they in? BMP or PNG?
BMP. I think that's the right format? --------------------

First of all, thanks for the feedback on my level. Now, here is the menu screen of my hack, along with it's music!

I've added a link now. --------------------

Originally posted by videogamesthat level model screenshot looks very nice to me, and the design reminded me of super mario galaxy early levels. it looks very linear in its level design though, compared to other super mario 64 levels, but i hope you can fill it with interesting things to make it play as neatly as it looks.
also i like the music, but it sounds a little weird in some parts.
Thanks. Yes, the level is pretty linear but it's supposed to be like that as I want it to be an easy first level. I am trying to making the level interesting by including various secrets, some custom objects, an upgraded boss battle and some eyecandies. Once I manage to import the level correctly, I'll upload a preview. Also, my recent music imports sound much better. You'll hear some of them in the preview. --------------------

Ugh... I need help for the textures AGAIN...

This was what it should look like...

And this is what it is imported.
I have exported the edges and all that. Does somebody know what's wrong? --------------------

Atleast that is fixed, but what about the textures? They don't show up even though they're normal SM64 textures. --------------------

First of all, please look at the question I posted at the end of the last page. I really need help about that,
Second, does anybody know how to make the Vanish Cap music and the Koopa Shell music diffrent than the Wing Cap music? --------------------

Skelux old Model Replacer doesn't works with the new importer and I have no idea how to get the collision pointer of the imported object in the newest level importer. It always stays 0000000. Do I have to search for free space myself? I am trying to import an custom object and I am unfamiliar with the new importer. --------------------

I really like the idea of this hack and the stages look pretty decent too, but you should have added more difficulty. There are informations about how to make King Bob-Omb & King Whomp have more life and other datas about them. And you could have made the stages of the other bosses much harder. But other than that, it was a nice little hack and I enjoyed it.
EDIT: I forgot to say that I liked the music --------------------

Not sure if you saw what I wrote on the other thread. I'll repost it here.

How about using 2 or 3 texture so the details of the statue are more visible? Like a darker texture for inside the mouth. etc.
Thanks, that statue took alot of time. Yes, I might add more textures later on.

Very nice level designing! I especially love the Bowser Statue, it's nicely detailed. But just a tip though, you can add red subtitle fog on your level. And like niamek said, you should maybe consider adding a few textures on your statue. But other then that your level seems great. I wish you the best of luck on making your hack!
And well you should take your time on releasing your preview. I mean they're should be some tutorials around the forums.
I remember using it once just for a test. But it didn't work out fine for me. All I know is that you have to browse the model in the SM64 Level Importer and then go to the model you want to replace.
Quite funny that you mention it, I've already added a subtle red fog a few hours ago, as well as all objects. --------------------
