Id just make X the only available choice if that's the only substantial change your making, because someone has a chosen gender would find the hack not very useful.

And it isn't just far right people who say things your pointing fingers (stereotyping)just the same as the ones accused

Better yet why not make it gender X or undecided. You know what about the Pokemon arnt they male and female.

I've been working on this for a few weeks now, and it's still holding my attention. So I figure its safe to post about this.
I've been beta testing a new level editor call SMB3 Foundry, it's intended for replacing SMB3 Workshop, which I never cared for and probably the main reason for not hacking smb3 so far.
So I figured I'll kill two birds with one stone and test the software to the best of my ability and make a hack.Here are some early shots.

@Yak Whoa, I'm not making the editor. I'm just testing it. I should have been more specific :) It's made by a user named Michael. Look up smb3 foundry for more information on it. I do know he is programming it in Python 3.6 or something.
@KTB like I said to yak I should have been more specific, I'm only testing the editor, the developer has GitHub and the editor is under the release tab. He is in a smb3 discord, I'm sure he would love to have more beta testers.

I'd have agree the level is bit bland, and I'm really horrible about screenshots. I always end up taking them in a quiet place of the level. I did try to keep the fortress optional, I plan on leaving the whistle out of the game, so there will be more options levels along the way. The over world was done with a diff editor. However I think the developer would add support if more interest was shown.

Again as far as I know I'm the only tester, I'm sure he would love more testing help. He is a programmer, not a rom hacker so he wants all the input he can get.

Yeah it does allow quite alot, I need to work on my level design. I'm just trying to start slow, smb3 is alot easier to break a rom, then smw.

Lol yeah your right about lock, I never thought. The tree I believe you can travel through. Maybe I'll switch the lock and rock positions.
Your also right about the mushroom, currently it's a leaf as the biggest prize, perhaps it should be something more valuable to use on a later map.
It is fun, it's alot more restrictive than we are used too, but I think someday that will change.
I would think dolphin knows to look for it in the iso. I use real hardware for that though, so I'm not completely sure.

it's really organized well I think I could change pokemon easy.

It's off topic but I wish mame was easier to deal with. It might be worth mentioning different versions of mame require the corresponding rom set.
Yeah, I like it a lot better. I'm still hoping to find a spriter to to sprite some things.
Hm, maybe bad iso or download failure. I actually have the disc so I'm not positive, but it should be larger, even after a scrub.
I added fairy,dark and steel types to the rom.
A couple new starters, a few new moves, to replace crap moves.
I made the line ups on gym leaders, elite 4 and Lance tougher.
Added a few new moves.
I'm in the process of finding out for you.
In bricks and ? Blocks set the contains value to 2.
