Tip: Switch palace switches normally disappear if you replay the level. However, if you insert them as direct Map16 and use the hex edit at $00EEB2 in the ROM map, you can replay the level without a problem.

Regarding that comment of mine:

1. This point can be ignored. I believe the status bar already does DMA.

2. Changing the tile numbers for each and every tile of the status bar would be very nice, but if that's too much for the fulfiller (which I'm sure it would quickly turn out), then fair enough.

3. Having the SB conform to vanilla SB hex edits is nice, but again, if too much for the fulfiller, fair enough.

4. This problem is objectively the worst in the whole patch, especially on SA-1. What really happens here is that either the HDMA effect(s) or L3 background in the level, if any, will flicker badly for one frame. Absolutely frustrating, which is the main reason I left the patch in the first place.

5. I take this back. ExLevels have nothing to do with IRQ. What actually happens is that although the IRQ is disabled, the status bar is technically part of the L3 BG's tilemap, so it'll still appear within it.

6. I take this back as well. It doesn't consume sprite slots, only OAM ones.

7. This problem is due to the IRQ code within the patch for some reason. Surely there is a better way to disable the IRQ without such issues.

Anyways, thank you for making this request! As someone who cares a lot about the vanilla SB, I'd love to see a proper sprite SB which has the same feeling. I just hope that like the original patch, it can be toggled per-level. I also hope it somehow doesn't break any vanilla elements like the Mode 7 bosses, because I care about those too.

Edit: For the fulfiller: please don't forget about the per-level tile and YXPPCCCT remap options for the status bar. You never know when it could come in handy.

Yeah, just insert as-is.

I just needed to deal with the !base2 labels, and it worked out, so yeah this is perfect, thank you!

Oof, lemme fix that.

So far, looks great! That piston animation is so smooth.

Try adding this right at the top of the code, before the start of the 'load' label:

Code
macro call_library(i)
PHB
LDA.b #>>16
PHA
PLB
JSL
PLB endmacro

One day I asked tcdw if he had all of 757's ports because I was so desperate to have them, but instead of giving me the ports, he gave me an archive of his entire website. Note, however, that the archive is a slew of files that make up the website. The 'asm', 'music', and 'fes' folders should interest you. Enjoy!

I'll check them out in Heraga's archive instead.

Huh? You mean the SNES SPC700 Player, right? If so, then all SPCs from that directory play fine on my side.

You need an SPC player to open SPCs, such as this.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. However, KungFuFurby is working on a new AMK with tons of new features, including the ability to specify ticks with the length command. It is meant to be the next official version of AMK.

Oh wait, Dominator already ported that long back: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/334352091340472340/901430338008547338/lonlon.zip

You will need to convert it yourself though. If this port isn't quite your taste, then you could wait for someone to claim and do your request.
