This bug occurs in Snes9x 1.51. The level in question is already completed.

EDIT: Tried in ZMZ - same issue.

Huh, okay. So can you tell me what levels you beat and what exits you obtained?

Because I can still can't reproduce this bug.

SRAM file
This SRM file has W1 completed and W2 up to Intriguing Illision. Beat next level - Tectonic Cavern and unable to go forward. Also haven`t touched Militiary Nightmare, since it`s W5.
EDIT: Also tried this in SNES9x 1.53. The same issue with Tectonic Caverns and also got music crash in Intriguing Illusion.

Sorry, but this issue is still blocking progress trough W2. Ask someone in help forums so one could find the culprit of issue.
P.S. Which emulator you use for testing this hack?

Intriguing Illusion uses event 0xE for normal exit, while secret exit activates event 0xF, which is used as event for beating Tectonic Caverns.
As for side reports, Intriguing Illusions lacks goal roulette in the final area in normal exit route.

A couple more issues in Intruguing Illusion:

1. Cutoff, when Mario is inside secret passage.
2. (same screenshot) The jimp from the secret passage is a bit too difficult for W2 level.

3. The pack of Eeries requires extensive maneuvering to avoid, which is too much for W2. Replace it with singular Eerie.
4. Restarting from checkpoint is impossible, because P-switch is inaccessible from midway point position, and no reset doors here.

5. Unfair hit from Eerie, if you are not quick enough. And tricky placement of message box complicates this even more. Screenshot has been taken right after section loading.

6. The switch here is almost impossible to hit with Big Mario. Move it 2 tiles left.

7. This Fishing Boo is nightmarishly difficult to avoid, thanks to his placement. Made even worse, because there are no power-ups in this section.

8. The net to the right, with Boo Ring, is not climbable, regardless of switch state.

9. Lack of goal roulette in exit area.

Sorry for lack of activity, but for some reason, SRAM save file has wiped clean. #tb{D'X} Had to redo a lot of play. Here is what I found:

1. Wierd dots in the air.

2. Wierd cut-off spike crusher tile.

3. Lava killed me prior to contact.

4. Mouser can be one-hit-killed by hammers.

5. Glitchy note block bounce sprite.

6. Ace coin leaves cut-off when collected.

7. Glitchy Big Mario sprite in this section.


8. Hitbox issues with spikes.

9. Hitting solid wall resulted in instant death. No warning + too early for W2.

10. If I kill all koopas prior and don`t have Racoon or Cape powerup, I would get stick here, thanks for lack of reset doors.
11. Medusa heads can cause Major Slowdown in ghost ship level.

12. Cape Feather despawned right after popping out from "?" block.

13. Invisible coin block to the right of Mario could score unfair death.

14. Blind jump. All in all, the dark rooms spotlight must be widened a bit.

15. Bowser statue flames are invisible in the darkness.

16. The spikes in this castle are looking to sinister to be just harmful. They should be instant-kill. Also hitbox issues.

17. Unable to enter door at the end of level.

Having trouble opening "Castle8" zip.
Inside the castle I found 7 bloody letters spelling EBSYSOK and a secret room with message "ITOZZO WATCHES" Nothing is correct...

All other zips are already opened.

8-1 is missing all Yoshi coins.
Also Wart from 9-3 is a bit too Kaizo-ish. It`s pretty much impossible to dodge bubbles with hypergravity (no jumping) thanks for his placement and the way the bubbles fly. And the fact that Wart fires bubbles at random intervals plus too much HP stacks odds heavily against Mario. Wasted 45 lives then used savestates to beat this nightmarish monster. Compared to this, Bowser is a piece of cake.

Finished it. A couple of issues:
Any level with respawning Beezos. You can easily die in inescapable/unavoidable way in those levels if Beezo spawns on the same row as Toad and there wouldn`t be any veggies nearby.
Veggies can fly straight trough Tweeters without hurting them.
4-2. Respawned Tweeter can fall from the top of the screen, killing Toad in unavoidable (no cubbyholes in that shaft), Kaizo-esque way (exit star is just at surface).
5-3. AutoBomb (that moving fire-shooting cannon) can easily corner you in the rightmost edge of the level for inescapable death. A note block behind the last coin should be definitely helpful.
6-4. Birdos should have 3 HP and be unstompable.

Exporting MAP16 selection as PNG. Will it be possible in future versions of LM? With PGE coming along, ripping SMW graphics for usage in superior engine becomes actual question in fangaming.

Do you mean repeated spinjumping on that Eerie under "kaizo-traps" ala KMW1? Are you kidding!? It`s only W3! And it`s quite tedious to get here for every attempt. Already wasted 50 lives. Had to use savestate to cut down tedium considerably.
