Hello! I am a guy from the SMBX forum and I decided to register here.

It set how fast the NPC animates.
I wanted to submit this level before, but I forgot.
Anyway, screenshots:

I don't know how to call this level to be honest.

It uses quite a lot that diagional grassy platform that you see in the screens.
Thanks for the nice feedback! I've made a video to show the first half of the level. I've also changed the name of the level to a better one.

I'm curious why people didn't use these platforms that much. I (and maybe some other users) think they add some platforming to the game.

...That's something I was thinking about when I first thought about it. I haven't seen any level in VLDC7 and 8 using this platform (except for one room of Chromatic Palace), so I decided to make a level with it.
The level is finished by the way.

Which files need to be sent? Because I'm currently finishing my level.

Look in the rules thread, under submission.
I just thought that the diagonal grassy platform was underused, so I tried to make a level about it.
Nice 40th. It's not too bad for my first VLDC.
original name, yeah.

Are those bubbles water tiles or what?

yes, those are water.

The big problem with dinos is that they take up a gorillion tiles in the all too valuable SP4 slot. Props for making them work

that's true, but luckily there are a few unused tiles that i was able to use.

I'd suggest you doing some slight changes to the background, I don't really like the current shade of blue. You could make it slight darker and more saturated or go with a blue closer to the one SMW usually uses (Back Area Color 2). Also don't abuse too much with munchers, it will end up making your level semi-kaizo depending on how small you set up the bubbles :P

would something like this work better?
and don't worry, my won't level won't be too difficult.

thanks to everyone else for the nice posts.

anyway, i've got a few other screenshot that i think will be more interesting than those in the first post:

the second half introduces the gray platform.
the level is finished.

nice name! however, i think i like more "bowser's bowling balls mountain".
(on a serious note, the level's actual name is now "rhino's bubbles")
Rhino's bubbles
Edit: updated the level
pretty much every thing you circled is something that isn't still implemented yet and you shouldn't care about them. i don't know why they disappear once you save the level, though.
putting the objects in the grass is different in this editor: instead of selecting which object you want to put in the grass, you need to select the grass itself (which is npc-91) and then click on "contents of the current container". this applies to npcs such bubbles, too.
also, while its true that there are some bugs in smbx 2.0, its also true that its still in beta.

I'm aware of that, but NPCs spawned this way can only ever use the default settings, making potions almost completely unusable outside layer shenanigans to the point where you might as well just replace them with Chargin' Chuck (Is that even available yet? I don't know...)

-Why the number 42? I know it's the meaning of life, the universe, and everything, but what mathematical process was used to arrive at that final answer?

this question was asked to he author of hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, and he said that there was no mathematical process behind it. it was just a random number.
can i help, too? i'd like to claim level 2.
vanilla secret 3 is done.
it's somewhat harder than the original.
