Why aren't there .mwt and .mw2 files for the custom sprites?
It makes it way more annoying to isnert them in your level because you can't just use LM's Custom Collection of Sprites list.

So, the Music rules state that you can change the list.txt for UberASMTool to make certain levels run the code that will enable the echo for sound effects, but there are only 2 files in the level directory of UberASM Files and one of them is the classic incio code and the other is an example conditional direct map16 code.
Would a level be disqualified if it used any of those codes?

I don't think it would be easy or even possible to have a fool proof way of detecting whether the hack has correct custom music implementation as there are many versions of Addmusic (Carol's, Romi's, HuFlungDu's, AddmusicM, Java Addmusic, whatever was used to insert music in VIP 3 and even more) with a lot of them lost to time. There's also the fact that while not broken versions of Addmusic have existed for a while now (as in they didn't put valuable data in the echo buffer) AddmusicK was the first one to not allow the user to insert a song with echo buffer set to a value that's too big, so certain hacks using the same tool work while others don't. And then there's the SMAS music patch of which I've seen one version that inserted some music data into the echo buffer.

I also have a question, how exactly would you even determine whether the Addmusic checks should be ran by BSNES?

So, half of the judges didn't judge the whole submission, because they found a softlock that others didn't?
Also may I get more information about the softlock since I don't see any way it's possible to get softlocked in world 2.

I wasn't able to finish the level on time and even then it would have been disqualified for not working on inaccurate emulators such as Snes9x and that's if it wasn't subjectively disqualified for using Arbitrary Code Execution.

Practical Loopholes (BSNES only)

If anyone is curious what black magic is going on here I'm willing to give a thorough explanation.

Actually, moving ledge holes work in an entirely different way, whenever Mario or a sprite is in contact with its hitbox it disables their layer 1 interaction, which is what made you clip into that muncher and die. They also don't change level tiles in any way, the black rectangle is part of its sprite graphics.
