Request for how to change Mario's graphics to a custom character please
Basically the title says it. I am currently working on a small hack, but do not have much knowledge of asm, custom sprites, blocks, etc. I know how to insert custom ExGFXAny and I tried ExAnimation, but the sprite would look messed up after following one of the tutorials. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Yeah that is what I need to know thank you. I will post progress of my hack soon with screenshots. Also could I get help on applying and xkas asm patches on a Mac.?
Hello I am looking for the Cave graphics from Super Mario Bros 3 World 6-4, and 6-5. The kind of dark blue foreground with the green top layer. Does anyone have the graphics.?
Yes thank you these are the graphics I was looking for. I am currently producing my first hack. A demo is not available yet, but I will post screenshots very soon.
Hello, my name is Matt and i am a somewhat new hacker. I have been fooling around with SMW for a few months and came up with a somewhat overworld. I would like some feedback and constructive criticism on it please. This is the first actual progress of my overworld from scratch.

This is a screenshot of a hack that i have been slowly making progress on. I am only using ExGFX so far, may use custom blocks but not much else though. Please give constructive criticism and feedback. Edit: Forgot to mention, did not start editing sprites yet. Thanks :)
Thank you, that is a vanilla background i created by using unused palette in my level.
Basically I would like to create a Super Mario Bros. 3 style endings in my levels. Now my question is how could I make a star tile in map 16 act like the goal sphere sprite. How would I go about it.?
Okay thank you for your advice. I am a somewhat new hacker, I know how to insert exgfx, change palettes, some map 16 knowledge and I almost know how to insert examination. I am a Mac hacker on top of not knowing much of assembly what so ever. I am currently working on a few levels and an overworld, so might release a demo soon.
Edit: Any help as with hacking on Mac OS X would be graciously appreciated too :)
As the title suggests, i am looking for the shop where Yoshi bought the snacks at in the introduction of Yoshi's Strange Quest. I would very much like to use them.?

EDIT: Also would like to know how to change the tileset specific sprites in a level. Say I am using a grassland tileset, but would like to use sprites from the underground tileset.?
Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you :)
If anyone could help me out, I would like to know how to change tileset specific sprites in Lunar Magic. Example: using sprites from underground tileset with grassland foreground.
Okay so I have applied the patch to my rom using Maxkas, now what do I do.? Note that I am on a Mac and running Lunar Magic through Wine. Also this is my first attempt applying an asm patch to rom, so I do not have very much knowledge of the subject. Any help.?
I am completely unsure of how to use the patch on a specific level, and how to write codes if any are needed to be wrote. I apologize for my lack of information, I have only heard of ASM, i have very, very, little knowledge of how it works. Basically I am wondering, how should I continue on from start to finish, how to use the patch in a level of my own.
No it does not, I have a complete black screen after the Nintendo Presents logo. Also there are several folders for gfx, blocks, and sprites. I know how to insert the gfx, but blocks and sprite insertion is foreign to me. I read a forum on another page, that said custom sprite and custom block insertion wasn't possible for Mac.
I am trying to create a level, but i have a very strange issue. I run Lunar Magic through Wine on Mac OS X, by the way. Anyways, the changes that I made in the rom do not appear any different in ZSNES. I have tried using a clean rom and by exporting and reinserting the levels, but still have the same issue. Any help please.?
I am not using save states though, I open the rom that was edited in Lunar Magic, in ZSNES and it looks the exact same. For example I changed Yoshi's Island 2 to Level 122, but when I select the level in ZSNES, Level 106 still opens.
Yes I checked and made sure I started an empty game file. Also I did make sure to save the overworld. I even made a few very slight changes, but alas the changes made in levels, are not present when testing in ZSNES.
