Now when I think about it, then, I suppose it gets more difficult.

In terms of that video, I agree with increasing the H-scroll. The music is really nice, and you've made it look so relaxing, with the purple ground.

Are you referring to, for example, the fact that Yoshi's Island 1 is actually level 105? If so, it really depends.

Some people may choose to delete everything and make their first level be inside level 1, whilst others may just use them randomly.

I, myself, just use them randomly. In my hack, the first castle is level 5, whilst my first level is actually 124. It's your choice.

The bonus game MUST ALWAYS be 0 and 100. You'll have to work around them. Also, 13A and 13B are levels you can enter from the OW, so if you're planning for a large hack, you shouldn't use them.

You can only enter levels like 001, 002, 00A, 00B, etc. from the OW. You can't enter levels like 1CB, for example, from the OW. Thus, your "pure numbers" are already reserved for levels. To see what you can enter, select a level tile in the OW and click on the #lm{owlevel}. See the dropdown list I'm hovering over? That contains all the levels Mario can enter directly from the OW.

Most hackers refer to those levels (e.g 105) as "levels" whilst they refer to all the others (e.g. 1CB) as "sub levels".

So, yes, it's so easy, it's already done for you.

I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT FORGIVE ME

wtl;dr - REALLY GOOD HACK. I'm liking this. There's a good few inventive ideas, and the graphics and music aren't too shabby. It has a good OW, and generally, is something I am really looking forward to it. Just because I point out a few bits of cutoff doesn't mean this hack is bad, and don't let that blow your confidence.

All right. Here goes:

Title Screen
Nice rainbow effect. The border is nice, but I'm quite confused as to what the actual text stands for. Also, at this point there's quite a lot of slowdown. Removing some sprites would remedy this.

"-mountain 2-"
It's quite confusing to find what you need to do in this level. It's not obvious that you need to go down this ONE SPECIFIC pipe. Using a message box may make this easier; it's just dumb luck if the player finds the way out otherwise. Also, why is there 1 Yoshi Coin at the end when there aren't any throughout the entire level? Either have them, or don't.
I do like the use of ground, as the terrain is nice and varied. The music choice was quite good - repetitive, but fitting. It's a little hard for a first level (it's not difficult, but harder than it should be for the first levels of a hack), unless, of course, the hack is trying to be difficult.

tl;dr - good, but confusing.

"- forest ghost -"
Better than the first level. The music choice was quite good - generic, but quite nice. The black background compliments this. Due to the background, your "black platforms" blend in with it, and make it quite difficult to see where you need to go. They cause cutoff too, which may look odd at first, until you realize they're platforms. The lack of any powerups or enemies (or coins) make this feel quite empty. Not as difficult as the first level - but it also felt quite short. Maybe it's because quickly raced through it. On the other hand, this level is well decorated, unlike the other. With the added bonus of having no cutoff.

tl;dr - better than the first level. black platforms blend in. quite short. needs enemies, coins, blocks, etc.

Overworld
I can't complain much about the OW. It's not too bad. I would like to see some custom music for it, considering you used some in the levels themselves.

Other things
The level names completely throw grammar out the window. Why not use "Mountain II" or "Forest of Ghosts" instead of "- forest ghost -"?
Slowdown is non-existent. Except for the title screen.

Nice job. A few problems here and there, but, yeah, it's looking nice.

I pointed them out because, again, it's my opinion. I mean, looking back on it, the stuff about the mushroom and Yoshi coin were pedantic, but, they immediately stood out to me.

About the OW, it's not bad. I pointed out small things that seemed just a little odd. I mean, how many places do you know in the world that are entirely green?

tl;dr - this hack is still very good. Just because I pointed out cutoff around 5 times doesn't mean I'm "jumping at the sight" of cutoff, I'm just trying to make sure the hack doesn't look bad. I could've been really harsh and pointed out around 11 points of cutoff, but, the ones I did point out were easily noticeable.

And because I get the impression that people think I was knocking this hack to the point where it was bad, I'll say it again - THIS HACK IS PRETTY GOOD.
