Since it seems like a 32 x 32 pixel texture, just use Microsoft Paint or GIMP and make a 64 x 32 texture with the mirror effect.

Also, can anyone help me with my problem please?! This is really holding me back on my hack's progress. It's earlier in the page, about my problem with my import into Cool, Cool Mountain. If you haven't seen my hack's progress, check it out in the thread titled "Mario: The Gameshark".

Sorry about the speculation. They're meant to be there, you'll see.

All will be explained in time; I'll give you a hint: it is a core part of the story.

Well then that answers our question!

I'll release it [Mario: The Gameshark] sometime in August. All will be revealed then. So stay tuned as I put more screenshots and put up videos and such as the back progresses!

If you guys can, I need some ASM and MIPS coders to help me make the final boss fight. If you know any or are one, notify me on Skype so I can tell you what to do. The final battle is going to be a secret so we can put in some surprises...

Notify me as soon as you can, I want this to be the best hack on the face of the Earth since Star Road! *BIG shout out to Skelux for making this hack, which I enjoyed and contributing so much to the Super Mario 64 hacking society!*

There could be a way to do this, I haven't seen this done though. One possible way could be importing one model over regular Bowser and one over Bowser 2, the one that comes during the final boss fight. Since the behaviors can be assigned to each object separately, once you imported it over use TT64 to assign the behavior to the boss. However though, I can't tell if that Bowser you see in the final battle is a different model or it's a vertex-colored version of one used for all the boss fights.

Also, how do you import over Bowser's model? I need to know for my hack's boss fight!

Is there a way to import over Bowser's model? If there is, please respond. I need his piece of information for my hack's boss!

Does anyone know how? If you can give me a tutorial or an address to use with the custom importer, I will forever be grateful and give you credit in my hack.

Hello world! It seems to me that importing custom music to the Bowser battles is broken. When I imported a .M64 into that slot and played the Bowser in the Dark World, Everything worked fine until the fight with the Koopa King himself. All the music and SFX went off, even Mario's SFX was mute. When I defeated Bowser and got the key, after that sequence, when it would normally after that load the castle, the game broke and was stuck on a black screen.

Any help is appreciated in advance.

EDIT: I replaced my .M64 with the original one and its Bowser Battle NLNST. It works then, but maybe to get bowser sequences to work you need to use the NLNST for it, otherwise the game locks up(?)

Hello! I have been trying to import a custom arena into the final boss fight, but it freezes on a white screen every time it tries to load! Are there any objects that have to be in place or limits to the Bowser levels I need to know about? This is holding me back badly.

Also, for probably the third time: anyone know the address for the model(s?) of Bowser?

Thank you in advance.

Hello world AGAIN! I have imported a Bowser level into SM64 and it works minus the part that every time it is entered, the Mario meeting Bowser scene shows no Mario to be found and dies. What am I doing wrong here? Is there something I have to insert in order for this not to happen?
OH YES.
You thought this hack was dead? You were WRONG! However I am running out of ideas, so I'm posting to ask you guys what I should put in my hack. Power to the people!

ALSO: there are levels confirmed that will show in the game, (screenshots will come later) as follows: Banjo-Kazooie: Clanker's Cavern; and Kingdom Hearts - Birth By Sleep: Ventus Station (Second Boss Fight). Nevermind. Hope this'll satisfy you for now because I have a lot of work ahead of me and may not complete this hack in time for the end of August, so bear with me.

What's the maximum triangle count for importing over Mario's selective parts? I understand that they can have only 2 32x32 textures maximum but what about the polygons? Also, I once also saw an area in this thread that had a diagram showing all of Mario's parts and their respective addresses within the ROM; can you give me a link to that?

Thanks in advance.

AS OF THEIS MESSAGE'S POSTING I WILL BE POSTPONING THIS HACK DUE TO EDUCATIONAL REASONS.

This does NOT mean it is cancelled. In fact, it is actually nearing a step that I might post a beta patch online for you guys to enjoy, and I will give word of my progress as I sparingly continue. Activity should increase around the weeks before Christmas but I cannot guarantee that this hack will be released by then or any recent time after; HOWEVER I can guarantee that this hack will be worth the while you wait, if you guys are still waiting, that is... #smw{T_T}.

Make sure that there are NO tracks in your MIDI that have chords or harmony within the same track. Also, music in Super Mario 64 doesn't support speed changes in music or switching instruments without some ASM and whatnot (ASM stands for Assembly Code/Coding).
You can always a ask people in the community to help you if the problems still persist; just ask and sooner or later someone will help you (I can't though, stuck in school [sigh]. So until then, good luck!

And just so you know, MP3 and WAV files cannot be used!
OH YES.
I could try to do it. I am around on the site every other day or so and understand level importing/Toad's Tool 64/music editing/texture editing/modeling and can help moderate files and host contests "every once in a while". Hopefully the SM64 thread will stay open. I don't want it to die in the obscurity of the Miscellaneous Hacking section like Super Mario Galaxy/2 hacking did.

Also, I'm making a hack titled Mario: The Gameshark. While it may be postponed, it has been a big proposition for me and I would love to help people make their own hacks.

You know, it's nice to know that people actually care about this sub-forum. For many, becoming the moderator of an international workspace is consuming on many levels. Whoever it will have to be will probably often have to sacrifice time, sleep, sanity and other things in indirect ways like education, money, and public relations among others. I can't appreciate enough how much you guys, and hopefully others, enjoy and care for this forum and want to contribute to it as much as possible.

Kudos to you all. #tb{;)}
