You misunderstood. Those aren't "codes", those are levels where you copy the backgrounds from.

So if you want a castle background, you can copy it from Iggy's Castle (which is level 101) or from Morton's Castle (level 7). I don't think there's too much of a point to make a list since there's a chance you might've overwritten some of those levels; generally you just look around for the backgrounds you need.

With Map16. Open the add objets window, go to Direct Map16 and place those diagonal dirt tiles

They should work fine if you're doing it correctly. But if they're not for whatever reason, just go to a blank page in the Map16 editor and set up some new tiles yourself. Advantage of that is you can make some more unique tiles, too, like so:


Just be sure to make them act like tile 25, the blank tile. Also be sure to save it, of course.


(Point of note, though: don't go too overboard with the fancy ground tiles, please~)

I can't open it in lunar magic, I want to edit it so then I can use graphics from the rom in a rom hack.

Well, in the Map16 16x16 tile editor, turn on 8x8 mode, and for the blocks that are around the solid part you want, make it act as a empty tile.

I mean, you know if the essentials of LM and such, but it's not really that helpful as apposed to other tutorials. First off, as Berkay said, you can just use CTRL+Del to remove everything from a stage. Second, as she said, it's very, very, barebones. You also need to add some item blocks, turn blocks, maybe some pipes to another level, as well as decorations, level size and such.
Plus, what's with the unfitting music? That doesn't really scream to me "Lunar Magic Tutorial". Did I mention that you can also use Lunar Magic's internal emulator as well?

Lunar Magic has an emulator?
Also, I'm really sorry that the tutorial was not good.
