Layer 3 text in the overworld, in message boxes, and at the end of levels appear to all use Palette 6 (4 color one not 16 color one), and for the life of me, I CANNOT figure out how to change it. I've looked in the ROM Map and tried using Terra Stripe. Does anyone have a solution? The problem is that I use Palette 0 entirely for layer 3 palettes and then the background is only Palette 1 and 2, but the text is using colors off of palette 1. If I change the palette 1 colors for the text, I'll ruin my background.
I think maybe you should leave palettes at their defaults. You see, editing a color and choosing a new color from the RGB color slider shouldn't be a matter of pointing and clicking in 2 seconds flat. Every color on the palette is what it is for a reason. Even switching 1 color to something that doesn't fit will ruin the rest of the palette. There is a flow you need to achieve, but your colors are of incorrect shades and vary too wildly. It's like trying to mix Halloween and Easter colors.

Also, ALWAYS make sure none of your objects have tiles that are cut off. For example, your midway point is missing its bottom tiles. That needs to be fixed or will be held against you in hack moderation.

Also I would suggest starting levels from scratch instead of editing levels that are already there. Your first screenshot appears to be an edit of the level before the switch palace in Donut Plains. The second and third screenshots appear to be Yoshi's Island 2.

P.S. One of your trees on the overworld is floating in midair in front of other trees. That makes no sense. Fix it.

I'm creating hack called SMWCeption.

The plot is simple. System and army vs Chester and army. System's allies will wear red, and Chester's allies will wear blue. Neutral civilians wear green.

It takes place in SMW Central itself. System will travel through the innards of the website, conquering his enemies in the battlefield. In the end, he will have the final showdown with Chester.

You are absolutely right, but I was very limited when it came to that. Since each block is 16x16, I would have to have either no space, or an entirely 16x16 block's space between them. When I placed a space between every tile, I was only able to include half the entire menu (plus I already had to nuke 4 items off the menu).

I ripped Come As You Are from a midi, and used the MML Editor tool to header it and stuff, and I got most of my instruments working right, but the drums seem completely absent.

What is it called?
Found out the problem but not exactly the solution.
The drums used in the midi used different notes than drums use in SMW. I think it's A, A# B, C, D, E, F#, G. My track only shares B, C, D (only twice), F#, and G (only 4 times). I could just replace the notes with SMW notes, but now the issue is the tinymml leaving out important notes. I wouldn't want all the snare and kick replaced by a hat.
I tried to put a mario in my level but all it does is ruin all the colors. what did i do wrong
