Does anyone know where a patch is that after you save, and come back to it, it will save your lives, power up and location. Like in Super Mario Advance 2. I'm pretty sure it was used in a hack somewhere. Thanks! (I would give an example, but there's not really one...)
So, when trying to use xkas patches with Asar, you need to put ";@xkas" at the top, but it seems that is not all, you also need to find freespace for it. Like you do with xkas. But I'm not sure how to use Free Space Logger with it. Is it the same procedure? Yes, there's the xkas2asar tool(?) But I'm not sure on how to use that either. The patch I'm trying to use is the old SMB3 Koopa Patch. Which needs free space. It would be cool if someone helped with this. Because I'm a n00b when it comes to this sort of stuff. Either the Free Space Logger, or the xkas2asar help would be apperciated. Thanks.
I don't think I've made it clear in the title, but for some reason, the event palettes used the "Forest of Illusion" palette, and I don't know on how to change it to the main ow palette again. Here's an example of what I mean. Thanks!
Of course, you could just beg your mom for a comupter of your own, but yes. It's very possible to make a hack with care about the level design, and nothing else. Except for the "No More Sprite Tile Limits" patch. That's important. Also, if you want an example of hack that did what you want to do. Try this hack for inspiration.
So, I have been trying to find a good tool that can rip GFX from other games. (Not hacks, an actual game.) I know that there was already a thread with a similar topic 5 years ago. But when I tried to find a link to a ripping tool from the thread, and a tutorial about GFX rippings. They have led me to viruses, and for some reason; a clothing website. So... anybody got any suggestions?
(Please DON'T tell me "SnesGFX". I know about it, and I don't want to hear about it.) Thank you.
