Not entirely sure how the music on the GC works at all, but from my experience from MKWii, wouldn't there be a file containing all the loop points that you'd edit? Although it shouldn't crash the game...
A Sonic 3 scorecard popped up. Then, a stone door closed behind Dan, and he observed in horror as the title card scrolled in:

A ghost began speaking to Dan, and he said...
...what people actually replied #tb{''}

Yeah, Gem Harvest was pretty great. I will say that they did sort of bait-and-switch us with the title there, but Andy is just Trump.

(illegal aliens)

(also I need a new site to use since the blog spot got taken down)
How would I change the sound effect for Mario being hurt? It's shared with the pipe, otherwise I'd replace it.

These sounds are really good and close for SNES instruments.

I've got the Sonic 1, 2 & 3 SFX and instruments ripped to WAV and the sustain (loop points) can be configured, and maybe these tracks could be made with the original samples and tempo and stuff.

most definitely give me some of this archive to convert with snesbrr. or do it yourself.

also I wish you'd given more feedback on hydrocity, but I pretty much know what's wrong with it

I would actually like to know what I need to do to edit the file select and menu text, if you or someone else reading this thread happens to know. My hack doesn't need a second player option, and Mario isn't involved, so the files need to not have his name on them.

Pretty sure you'd use this tool, but I've never used it myself so I'm not too sure it's what you want
I sometimes pirate ROMS.
What my current signature is.

(edit: my sig at the time said "All white people, including myself, are evil.")
You guys ready for TGAAB?
So, I ripped a model from Sonic Adventure 2 - Battle, only I think I did it wrong.

What is the proper way to rip models? My current model has some problems with symmetry, that square on the bottom is not meant to be there, and it was squished initially. I had to edit it to fix it.

What are your system specs?
And... nothing. I honestly shouldn't have expected any responses, though. Maybe adding this post will add it to the top of the forum section it's in and give it more attention
If you want actual sounds, like the jump sound, then you can do one of two things:
1) if you're replacing a sound, make sure it isn't used anywhere else first. Then get a TXT file of the sound you want. Go into AMK's folder, and then sounds. Here will be 1df9 and 1dfc. You will have to search both of these to get your sound. Once you find it, rename your TXT file to the name found in the folder. Then simply replace the sound and run AMK.

2) If adding a new sound, you need to do a little more work. 1df9 sounds will play on SPC channel 7 and 1dfc ones will play on channel 8. If the sound has multiple channels then you won't be able to use it. If it has one, go to either 1df9 or 1dfc and paste your sound there. Make sure you know what it's name is.

For example, I could have a sound named "pibb.txt".

Now go back to AMK's folder and find the file called "addmusic_sounds.txt". It might not be exactly that, but it'll be similar. Open it and find 1df9 or 1dfc, whichever one you put your sound in. At the bottom, follow the syntax of the numbers on the left (remember, it's in hex) and make a new line. Type the next number in the order. For example if I were adding "pibb.txt" right after sound 29, I'd put "2A" on the next line. Indent and put the name of your txt file in quotes. My example would look like this:

2A "pibb.txt"

Save it and run AMK.
(I should stop neglecting this so I don't keep bumping it)
1. please use the link button next time. It's at the top of a post window and looks like a green underlined A.
2. Both links give me a "Video not found" error. Reupload them or simply store the SPC on your My Files section and link it.

EDIT: the post I was responding to is gone now. Thanks very much.
Well, for the OP you have to specify what "it" is. :P

(Also I'm currently on my phone so I won't be able to help you with the other two posts)
also have a June 28 birthday, so you can add it to the growing mess
You could also just configure the normal exit to exit right, and the "secret" to exit how you'd want the normal exit to work. In the normal exit room, you'd have to place the correct goal tape sprite, but that's a bit less risky to do than to patch it.

To configure it, would that require coding of some sort?

You'd have to make sure the proper sprite is placed in the exit room, but otherwise you'd just use the OW editor configure the edits backwards, just how MFG told you to
