I know this might be considered a bump, but I was wondering if their has been any progress since however long it has been! (I know it will be released by C3 in Winter, but I have no clue as of when that is)

Each time you move on the overworld, the game silently saves. So yeah, no problems about .srm this time! #tb{XD}


That is actually great to hear. No need to do a "savestateless run" then since it saves. Would this be two player since Mario and Luigi are playable, or is it just one or the other on single player?

The latter. We're not going to have a co-op mode (or atleast, it's not in our plans yet, you never know).

Aside for the massive HDMA implementation (wavy BG + gradient + wavy gradient(?)), Okuu's level is set in the center of the earth: this means lava and podoboos are the main obstacles of it. The level design here is pretty linear, with massive presence of sprites (as you can see from the screens). Plus, the level has a midboss, Orin Kaenbyou. In short, this level is a reproduction of Touhou 11's last stage. Ah also, if you lost the already showed GIF of Okuu's battle arena, here it is. The arena, though, will be pretty complex, with changing BGs, HDMA effects and lots, lots more! That's what my waifu deserves after all <3

Here lies music. Note that you may lower your headphone's volume, due to these being a bit louder than they should.

Nop, sadly. Only SPCs are available for listen. I won't hide that I'm probably going to rework it a bit, since I'm not 100% satisfied with it. So ya, until I don't get a near-to-definitive version of her theme, you have to listen to SPCs.

Yes. If you didn't see the gif of one of her arena scenarios, this time there will be a proper battle with Okuu. I'll push Vitor to make this one of the most memorable battles, since she's my fav Touhou char <3

I find it odd we have the same avatar. Anyway, I hope Nuclear Radiation is also just as equal a threat as lava is in her stage. Utsuho Reiuji is my second favorite character because I played Touhou 8 first and Mokou Fujiwara/Fujiwara No Mokou is my favorite for personality and immortality. (and that she is different.) The only thing I hate or dislike about Utsuho is the nickname everyone calls her. (Even with the reason behind it). I find it awkward and annoying. Will I be able and allowed to do a full 100% no Savestate Playthrough of this when it is done and maybe even a Let's Play on it in General afterward?

Before you ask, no, I didn't flip the images with an image editor~ If you peeked the trailer or the video of the Y-Flip in Vitor Vilela's channel, you probably saw... well, what this level is based on. While going through the Shining Needles Castle, the screen will get Y-Flipped. It may not seem such a big matter, but you'll experience that it's very tricky to pass this part, especially when you have to climb nets.
The second part is pretty much like the first one, except that the left and right arrows controls are reversed. Wait before swearing: in the middle of the second part, the screen will Y-Flip again! ...ok now you can swear as much as you want~<3

Why would I swear when I never done so in my life, and I love mirrored controls? I play with Mirrored controls quite often actually ^_^ after playing Touhou 14 for the first time four days ago, I am glad to say Seija Kijin is now in my top five characters, and I do not know if Utsuho Reiuji is at the second spot (or Fujiwara no Mokou for 1st for that matter) but still, can not wait to see SNCT in this. Honestly, Y-flips are the hardest to me. I can handle X-flips easily. as for Z-flips (or whatever a 180° rotation is called) is not that hard. (I find spell 84 in Touhou 14 easy anyway). Good luck on this, and I can not wait to see where it is placed on the word map either.
