Tip: If you make a change to your ROM that you regret, just go to File > Restore > Restore ROM to Previous State in the menu. From there, you can select a restore point and revert your ROM to a previous state.
It probably wasn't necessary to make an entire thread for this, but what type of file should my Super Mario World hack be? Apparently, it has to be .ips or something, but how would I achieve the act of converting my hack from one type of file to another? Sorry, I'm a first-timer and have no experience whatsoever and I don't know anyone with experience, so I'm going to need a lot of help with this hack.
Thanks, MarkD, but now I have no idea to open the file in my folder named "smwpte_desc.dat". I searched up what a .dat file is and how to open it and stuff, but I can't seem to find any useful answers. Can you help me in any way?
Hello, I'm new to Super Mario World Central. You probably would've noticed my name is Chillahbyte, exceptions to those with a monitor that's broken on the left side of their screen or something. I am new
to Lunar Magic, too, so my hacks might be horrible, but hopefully you
"Hack Removal Moderators" good and kind critics, so I'm hopeful I can
successfully make my own hack.
I'm really sorry about all these threads I'm making. I am a person with no experience in an environment with people who have no experience. Never mind that, I have an issue with the software Super Mario World Player Tilemap Editor (SMWPTE). A .dat file (what is that) has appeared in my folder, and I am completely oblivious on how to open it and what to open it with. Please help?
K, thanks, WhiteYoshiEgg. I had made an assumption that I had to open the file to edit my player, but I guess I'm very dearly mistaken. I think I should make my own megathread and ask questions there. I don't know. Also, I have no idea what the path is to the AllGFX.bin. Can you give me any sort of example?
