The embed code allows you to post the video on the site, so I'll do that right now...
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pR0VAI9e9fQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pR0VAI9e9fQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Anyways, this looks like a common case of the OverWorld editor failing to remember the data you put in. Re-enter the coordnates on both exits, and make sure that the info stays. Also make sure that the directions are correct!
That should work. If not, I suggest using warp pipes instead. --------------------

Meh, it's something that has and always will be haunting the Hacks section. The reason it takes so long is because even though some hacks are clearly not going to pass, the mods still have to go through and tell the author what's wrong with the hack. Granted, I do feel it should take less time for hacks to go through the process, but until there's either a decrease in poor quality hacks or hacking alltogether I don't think this is going to clear up. --------------------

You can't. I know, it sucks, but you're just going to have to try and make it on your own (or make your own new palette, which can sometimes look better...)

Meh, most people just go on with their lives in my classes, since they all know me as the class nerd and that I do stuff like that. Then again, I'm quite a ways up the social ladder for a nerd, mainly because I've figured out how to get down to most of the other students' levels.
I've only gotten 1 other person into hacking in the 3 years (dang, I'm getting old...) I've been hacking SMW. He's still working on a hack that he plans to submit here around August this year (it's going to be a decently lengthed hack). --------------------

Actually, don't you think Santa would be able to escape/make really loud noises before the poison makes it through all of his fat? I think putting a fake floor in the chimney leading to a 30-foot deep chasm would do the trick much better. --------------------

Meh, 21,500 for I8Strudel. Surprisingly enough, the first 100 results had absolutely nothing to do with strudel, despite Google asking me if I meant "I8 Strudel". --------------------

You can't transfer palettes into the OverWorld's palette, so the given palette is, unfortunately, something you either have to copy color by color or ingore to make your own palette. It's your choice. --------------------

Yes, but you can't insert it, so it would be pointless. --------------------

Wow, that game sucks. Nobody would play tha- *shot*
Well, that just goes to show that not even Nintendo can make a bug free game. Don't get discouraged if your hack if removed because of some bugs that can be fixed! --------------------

I might as well put my LPs up here, since it is what I've been working on the most since my (old) hiatus:
Let's Play Super Simple World (my first LP!) 9 Parts
Let's Play Crazy Mario 8 Parts
Let's Play Super Koopa World (personally my least favorite, as far as my performance) 4 Parts
Let's Play Chomper's Island (with extra level ESPY) 2 Parts
Let's Play Piruzella World 6 Parts
Let's Play Evil Incarnate World (my current favorite performance wise) 13 Parts, not including non-LP videos in playlist
Let's Play Mario Castaway 3 Parts
Let's Play Radical World 10 Parts
Let's Play Iggy's Island (starts at 1st video) 4 Parts
Let's Play Kirby's Dreamland: Extra Game Mode (my first non-hack LP! Starts at 1st episode) 3 Parts, still in progress.
Let's Play Bowser's Ruins (My first Kaizo hack LP! Starts at 1st video) 4 Parts, not including extras, still in progress
I'm not going to be updating this, so visit my channel to see any videos past this post! (link in signature). --------------------

Well, the problem is that Layer 2 is used for the backround, so even if it contains solid blocks, it will act like a backround.
Since it is impossible to make a level where Layer 2 can stay while the screen scrolls up, I suggest timing yourself on climbing a stagnant tower, then make a short time limit for that segment based on your time. Sure, it's not the same thing but it's as close as I can think of, and I think it's a good idea. --------------------

Well, I haven't met anyone from SMWC, but I got one of my friends to join. While he hasn't made a single post, he tells me he is working on a hack he plans to submit here, and he is logging on, since I do send PMs to him frequently (that he reads).
If I really wanted to, I might be able to find Schwa, since he's less than an hour away. Unfortunately, there's very few hackers here in Washington State (Nintendo's presence here is powerful, they own the baseball team!). After that, I'd have to drive at least 3 hours or buy an airplane ticket to meet anyone else, and since I don't have a car yet, that would be very hard...
Meh, I've thought about moving to Calgary one day, so who knows. I'd have better chances there than here, since active, posting members do live there. --------------------

I never said that, I just said that's what it's main purpose is.
Well, you could do individual screens, as a sort of quick trial area. I dunno! --------------------

Well, the warp pipes and warp stars are actually unused levels, so you could use their levels as levels if you didn't need any warps.
Also, try to avoid using level 104 if you're going to use the game's ending. The messages boxes don't function normally (they change depending on whether or not you have Yoshi) and it would mess up the ending. --------------------

It should carry over if the music number in the next room is the same.
To set it (incase you didn't know), click on the Note Block button and set the music number to the same number as the room before. The music should continue as if you never left the first room.
@2technogeeks: It has nothing to do with Addmusic, especially since this also applies to the music already in the ROM. --------------------

As an Xbox Live-er myself, I can help clarify.
You can purchase intervals of 800 in stores, and 500 with credit or debit online. 800 points is the equivalent of ten U.S. dollars. While there are a lot of cases where points are leftover, it's never any more than 150, since some items cost only 200, so in all, you never can have an more than $1.80 that they can't use, which is very little. As far as hardware problems, the only hardware problem anyone could experience that would prevent them from playing a game, yet have their Xbox work is (drum roll please) lack of a hard drive due to not purchasing an Xbox variant with one or buying additional memory.
In other words, Mr. Samuel Lassoff is bitching about a problem that doesn't even matter to him if he has enough money to sue a major corporation. Even if the game doesn't come through, any purchase over Xbox live can be re-downloaded for free.
And TRS, Microsoft was sued a few months ago because Microsoft World was in a copyrighted format owned by a Canadian company for well over 10 years, so Microsoft doesn't exactly have the best lawyers, so who knows? --------------------

Actually addmusic has been working greatly. One thing though, why is it
that when I patch my rom with the more.asm trying to add more music with
addmusic makes my game unplayable, when I try to play it it doesn't
even have the nintendo presents logo come up.
I have never used more.asm, so I don't know firsthand. My only guess is that it wasn't pathced correctly. Did you set the patch to an area of the ROM with free space? --------------------

It sounds like you're adding a lot of music. How many tracks do you think you have? I was able to have about 30 tracks without more.asm. --------------------

... I would try not to use any more music for now. In fact, if you find yourself using a certain track only once or twice, you may want to replace that one with one you'll use more (I've done that before, it should work). It seems as though you've reached the ROM's memory limit for music space.
You couldn't re-patch more.asm either, because it would cause certain tracks to overwrite each other. --------------------

Yeah, even on my computer, which has undergone it's share of Trojans, fails, near-self destructs, and new hardware requirements over the past 5 and a half years, it takes only a few seconds to load, quicker than most pages already. I don't see why it's even nessecary. --------------------
