Without ExGFX it would appear garbled because its graphics don't appear in the the ExGFX files in that tileset. If you can avoid using the sprite that uses the same square however, then you can make ExGFX that supports the Pirhana Plant.
STOP MAKING SH*T IN CHINA! IF YOU MAKE IT HERE, PEOPLE WILL HAVE F***ING JOBS!
You have to respect them, though. There's a reason they make so many things, and why would they ruin their economy just to help us?
Actually, if they stopped making stuff for us we would have more to lose than them, and since the people working in those factories get paid so little as it is, they might actually thrive in a new economy based around something that could easily generate more pay. Still, one country is going to collapse bacause of this situation.
But yeah, the extra money spent would probably push the government's debt over the edge, causing possible embargo and rebellion, which would establish a new government due to the the support of the nations the US owes (actually, that might be better than keeping our current government)...
Well, if SMWC ever needed a place to put a whole bunch of videos, there's a solution! (So long as enough people have YouTube accounts, which there should be).
However, I don't believe there's an option for groups to have playlists, and topics there get cluttered up quite easily, so I'm not sure if it's worth it to do it there rather than here.
Off Topic: Shouldn't this go into The Site now that it's pertaining to a possible feature? It may not be something that would be directly on SMWC, but it is a suggestion that would affect the site directly.
I kinda feel stupid when I say that The Forgotten Island was my best hack, mainly because it's also the only decent hack I've ever completed (I'm not too fond of 3 Trials...). Funny, but the version with the bug fixes has a much lower rating than the first version, which are exactly the same in content.
I mostly dislike things that have already been said a lot (such as sound problems, use of a camcorder to record video, boasting about skillfulness then failing, etc.) but what it seems to come down to the most is the LPer not enjoying the LP. This seems to always be the root of every problem in a problematic LPer I've seen (except for what they're recording with, obviously). If you don't enjoy it, why are you doing it? If you want the Internet fame that badly, you should do something you enjoy, because most YouTube videos are better when you can tell the person is having a good time (not to say that raw anger and drunkness haven't made good videos either - but those are unhealthy).
...Possibly one could make a patch that makes you restart from the begining of a world. I don't think that would be too hard. Maybe I'll look into it.
Or you could just uncheck the "Save Prompt" box in the levels that do make you save in the OverWorld editor...
Anyways, as mentioned, as far as an actual gameplay mechanic only a select number of people really use lives as opposed to their emulator's savestates and/or rewinds, but I think most of us still get a kick out of finding a super-secret bonus room that was tucked away in a quiet corner of a level that has a 3-up moon or a few 1-ups with assorted powerups (as long as the hack doesn't overuse these types of bonus rooms).
I'm quite glad to see that Waluigi is still getting some attention from the hacking community. Great idea on your part! However, I think that the current OverWorld's land masses could use some ledges, and that a lot of the colors just look too bright (included the white outline on those ledges, yuck), so if I were you I'd probably make those colors a lot fuller (that's my opinion at least). I'm quite excited to see more!
Well, if you're super good at ASM, just about anything is possible, right?
Without vast knowledge of ASM, however, I doubt that you would be able to make such a thing without tons of help from one of the top ASMers here (though if you were to ask for such help, I would try out the Advanced thread).
I think it would be interesting to see him in his own hack, but he's too far off to the side to really do good on his own. However, I think it would be nice to see him get a little more attention so that his character can be developed. And for those of you who don't like him because he's used as filler, think of it this way: when Mario Bros. came out long ago, Luigi was the filler character that was put in place so that two people could play the game. Heck, if it weren't for Doki Doki Panic (err, I mean SMB2) and the cartoons for the Mario Bros., he may have never gotten any of his own personality and character traits and he would still be just "Green Mario". So if Waluigi was given a chance to develop by being given a place as a supporting character in a Wario game or something, he may become worthy material for his own game in the future.
