I have a request for any of you SMW hackers out there, my request of a hack is "Ponyo in Super Mario World". If you don't know what Ponyo is, I'll tell you.
WARNING: SPOILER ALERT if you haven't heard of it!!!
LEAVE NOW if you never heard of it!!!
Ponyo is a character from the 2008 Japanese anime film called "Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea (崖の上のポニョ)" released by Studio Ghibli.
The movie is kinda like the 1989 Disney film "The Little Mermaid", except it's not a love story, it's about friendship.
Speaking of Disney, they made the English dub of the film in 2009.
The reason why Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea was popular at the time is because of it's theme song called "Ponyo on the Cliff".
For my request for a hack of Super Mario World, Ponyo is what I choose.
It's pretty much should be the exact same game, but Ponyo is the Mario replacement.
You can change some of the enemies or Yoshi if you want to, it's your choice.
You can make new levels, but most of them can be water levels because Ponyo is half-fish/half-human.
You can even change the music, some levels can have the Ponyo theme song, you can even add music that wasn't even in the movie, such as Sonic Boom or Too Toot Sonic Warrior (also known as You Can Do Anything) from Sonic CD.
But Mario must be changed to Ponyo and Luigi must be changed to Sosuke, who is the other protagonist in the film.
Small Mario, should be Ponyo in her fish form, and Small Luigi, should only be small Sosuke.
Big Mario, should be Ponyo in her human form, and Big Luigi, should only be Sosuke in his normal size.
Fire Mario's palette must be changed to normal Mario and Fire Luigi's palette must be changed to normal Luigi because with Ponyo and Sosuke's fire-flower form, they can just stay the same way as Big and Small. And the fireballs, change them to the color blue to resemble water.
If you don't know what Ponyo and Sosuke look like while you edit the sprites, watch the movie or look for images of the characters online on Google, Yahoo!, Bing, DeviantArt, etc.
Do not import the full images to the game, or the sprites will look crappy.
The right thing to do is memorize the images while making the sprites, some people are masters at doing this, but not everyone, not even me. Just look at some hacks of SMW or Sega Genesis games such as Sonic the Hedgehog and it's sequels (except for Sonic CD, even though the PC version can be hacked).
Requires:
Lunar Magic
SpriteTool
YY-CHR
Mario and Luigi Palette Editor
A status bar editor
SpriteTool (optional)
MIDI to MML converter (optional)
If anybody accepts, when it's finished, upload the ROM in a ZIP, RAR or 7z file to SMW Central and then send me a reply or a PM (GhibliGuy9000).
I don't have 500 euros. Or is that quote a joke? And besides, I'm not from Europe, I'm from North America (USA, not in Canada or Mexico).
Hey, I got an idea, you can change the levels. But most of the levels can be water levels, since in the movie Ponyo is half-fish/half-human.
I tried to make level designs for the hack, but I kinda suck at it, except for my SMW hack that I'm currently working on (SMG4: The Retarded Adventure in Hell). I got an another idea, somebody can do the level design, while other hackers can do everything else.

One thing I gotta tell all of you guys who replied, I'm not going to C3. Because I'm only 15 years old and I have to stay home with my older brother because if my dad found out I wasn't home, I would be in serious trouble and I would get grounded for a very long time.
Hello, my name is GhibliGuy9000.
I'm proud to announce to you all on SMW Central, my upcoming hack.
Ladies and gentleman, I present to you,
"SMG4: The Retarded Adventure in Hell!", now called "SMG4: Escape from the Dark World!"
It is a hack of the original SMW made by, you guessed it, me. And yes, SMG4 is the reason why I'm currently making this. Now I'm gonna tell you the plot.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
-
SMG4 (Mario) and Starman3 (Luigi) is trapped in the Underworld by The Devil (It's actually Bowser, but pretend it's the Devil...).
So they must find a way out of the Underworld so they can be home in the faithful Mushroom Kingdom.
Along the way, they must go through many obstacle courses that are hard to go through.
And yes, the hack is gonna be VERY HARD!!!
Clever plot, huh?
Reply if you like (or dislike) the idea of an SMG4 hack starring SMG4.
NEWS:
(6/14/2016) Beta v0.1 has been released! World 1 (Yoshi's Island) is the only world completely edited world in this beta.
(6/24/2016) The title has been changed to SMG4: Escape from the Dark World.
The reason why the title has been changed was because my 17-year old brother and some users who replied said that some people would get offended by putting the words "retarded" or "Hell" in the title. My brother and the users were right, what was I thinking?! That title isn't even funny or clever at all! I'm even offended by the title! So I changed it to "SMG4: Escape from the Dark World!" so nobody will find the title offensive.

Also, just as a little tip...you may want to consider changing the title a bit. Some may be offended by the use of "Retarded."
NOTE: Beta v0.2 will be released later this June or during the beginning of July. Along with the hack will be some images of cover art of the game if it were made on an SNES reproduction cartridge, both the North American and Japanese version.
The Super Famicom version is called "SMG4: Escape from the Underworld! (SMG4:アンダーワールドからの脱出!)"
BETA v0.2 SPOILERS:
Some designs have been changed, such as the SMG4 and Starman3 sprites, instead of being in SMW style, the sprites are now SMB3 style. Even the switch in all the switch palaces have been changed to a different kind of switch palace sprites. Some of the level backgrounds have been changed. One of the levels in Donut Plains resembles Geometry Dash or The Impossible Game except the scroll speed is at medium speed, if it was at fast speed, the level would be extremely hard, I'm dead serious, if it was put at fast speed, you would die and die and die because also in that level, there are no checkpoints. Things in the level you have to avoid are lava, black piranha plants and bullet bill cannons. The Donut Plains levels will be completely edited along with the Yoshi's Island levels in the beta except for the other worlds, which will be in other betas that are coming soon after this one.
Here is the cover art for the game if it was on an SNES or SFC reproduction cartridge:

Super Famicom version:

I knew you were gonna think it looks like crap. I kinda think that I did a crappy job doing this. The reason why it looks like crap is because this is just my first attempt at a hack and I'm only 15 years old. I'm only a beginner at doing SMW hacks. Don't be too harsh on it. I know you're dead serious about this being one of the worst, if not the worst SMW hack you've ever played in your entire life. I'm very, very sorry about all these flaws, I'll probably do better next time. Or maybe not, which would mean I would cancel the whole project once and for all.
The reason why I put the word "Retarded" in the title is because there's a series of SMG4 videos called "Retarded64".
I just wanna know how do I change the sound effects in Super Mario World?
Example of a sound effect: Mario's jumping sound
I don't how to, even though on Sonic Retro (I don't have an account for that site), There are some tools to change the sound effects in Sonic 1, 2, CD (PC version only), 3&K, 3&K Collection (PC) and Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast & PC version only). But not much for SMW or SMW2: YI or SM64? Oh my god, all there is for this kind of editing is just the music, even though editing music for me is hard because my computer is Windows 8.1 & I can't open up most DOS programs, such as an SPC to ROM converter that's downloadable on Zophar's Domain. And I can't open up Java programs such as that improved version of TinyMML. And when I convert an SPC to MML using an SPC to MML converter, I try to go to the 3ML Editor to copy the MML to clipboard, the MML file doesn't work saying that there's no notes on the MML file for some reason, it made me think the SPC to MML converter was a scam to make people fall for it. And I'm not able to use WAV2BRR, probably because it doesn't work.
But why am I talking about editing music, I'm talking about editing sound effects, I give up, please tell me what kind of programs there are to edit sound effects, not the music, send me a reply if you know some programs I need that are easy at editing SMW sound effects.
This is just a request to anyone who were masters at using Lunar Magic, because they should make an update for the Lunar Magic software to be able to hack all 4 of the games in Super Mario All-Stars, even though on the latest version of LM, using a ROM of SMAS + SMW, it can only hack SMW. If anybody doesn't wanna update LM with those features, why not make a standalone editor for SMAS? Even though there is SMB2SMC which is just a DOS level converter to convert NES SMB1 levels to the Japanese version of SMAS called "Super Mario Collection". But that's just Super Mario Bros, not the sequels. We need a better SMAS level editor. It would suck without an editor for SMAS. So please, do it, make it happen, so people can hack the best multicart game ever made, especially me, I've always wanted to hack 4 games on one ROM, but this should happen sometime later, so people can experience hacking Super Mario All-Stars.
Hey, everybody on SMW Central, it's me, GhibliGuy9000!
Guess what? The second beta of my upcoming hack "SMG4 Escape from the Dark World!" has been released! It's been only almost 3 weeks, and now I released an improved version of the first beta.
This is for the C3 Summer 2016 event.
The title has changed from "SMG4: The Retarded Adventure in Hell!" to "SMG4: Escape from the Dark World!" because some users said to me that people would get offended by the name using the words, "Retarded" and "Hell", even I was offended by that title, so I changed it.
In the beta, The Mario sprite has been changed to resemble the Mario from Super Mario Advance 4 for the GBA. And I changed the sprite of Thwomps, Dry Bones, Fishbones and Bony Beetles.
Reply if you like (or dislike) this hack.
I have also released the teaser trailer for the hack!
