Tip: Unless you've disabled the bonus game, don't use a goal tape in a vertical level. The bonus game won't appear if a player happens to reach 100 bonus stars there. Not logged in.

Could I please get the top of the blue coin switch without the blue coin? In other words, a template?

What's a Toad's Tool 64-compatible way to replace the in-game music?

I think he means to get another level from another hack and put it in sketch up so he can edit it

I think it works with ROM hacks as well.

Just because it's Adobe director doesn't mean the source would be totally useless. Ya I mean I wouldn't want to work in Adobe director but the source would be handy as a reference for developing a replacement tool in a real language.

Btw GitHub didn't invent open source software lol, vl-tone could have use any of a number of code hosts. Sourceforge was one of the bigger ones for one.

But ya considering windows 10 is dropping support for older versions of flash/shockwave and shockwave itself is discontinued now's the time to release the source. Somebody is gonna need to write a replacement tool that isn't built on an obsolete framework.

I agree! There are many limitations and tons of lag when using Shockwave/Flash. Also, a really annoying thing is that you have to click to get past the splash screen, and I hope somebody could change that.

Okay, new question: How do I edit stuff like the ROM title and textures without the SM64 Editor freaking out every time I do?

Hello,
I am wanting to get the sounds from the Japanese version of the game, such as the red coin and Chain Chomp sounds. Does anybody know where these can be found in the Japanese ROM?

Oh, OK. I did check bank 7, but it wasn't there. The Japanese red coin sound, however, is different, and doesn't increase in pitch. Gonna look some more. Thanks!

Try sm64extend and the Super Mario 64 Text Manager: https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=86301

In-game or in TT64?

To extract the M64 files, you can just use the level importer: http://origami64.net/showthread.php?tid=39

However, to convert them to MML files, the best I could find was to convert it to MIDI, and then to MML. To convert it to MIDI, use this: https://sites.google.com/site/supermario64starroad/home/sm64-documents/utilities/M64%20to%20MIDI.zip

To convert the MIDI to MML... well, all I can give you is this ancient tool: https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~tom7/midimml/ However, if you can find another way to convert MIDI to MML, then kudos to you.

I can load the ROM now, and the music works fine, but after trying to import a custom title screen project64 gives this error: While processing graphics data an exception occurred: You may need to restart your emulator. After closing out of all of those error msgs however the game runs fine, its only on the title screen.

Can we see the title screen image/file?

That's BizHawk for ya. Its graphics are very pixelated.

Try editing the sprites with a program like Paint.NET or GIMP. Also, make sure the right side of the sprite matches the left (but black) if you're using Toad's Tool 64.

The entire album?

Yup, because it's Mario 64 based, and it could go good with a Grand Dad-themed hack.
